Someone pointed out last week that State has more former head coaches on staff than any other D1 team. While I have not fact checked that, having 7 former head coaches on staff does bring a lot to this team. KT is super talented, but this team is more than him, and I think he would be the first to tell people that.

Also, you act like he's not going to get a lot of money from State.
It's not like he's playing at State for free and turning down $5M+ offers from other schools. State may not pay him quite as much as he would make elsewhere if an Oklahoma or Michigan decides to offer him 8 figures, but it's not going to be "a lot of money" vs "a little money". It's going to be a lot of money to play at State which he loves, vs slightly more money to play somewhere else as a mercenary.

Anyhow, I can say with authority that State's NIL is just fine (e.g., they offered an OL 5mm this year, but he didn't like the coaching situation). Your little pecker getting hard over K1 leaving is all for naught, Aristotle.

I mean I hope the kid stays and is successful. Seems like a good kid and good player and State fans deserve to have a good team.

You got your DC back, and that spells a more aggressive approach. Looked good against Minnesota and leaked like the rest of the SEC on defense against SC. Still an upgrade and that's been a problem the last few years.

State will not be able to pay him the most money. he can get a bigger pay day and have better weapons elsewhere, you are dreaming if you think he stays at state.

Wish there were more of these today. It makes CFB better.
But, insane amounts of money are still insane amounts of life-altering money.
