Tebow got carried, his numbers don’t mean shite. He should have never won the Heisman and was basically a glorified cheerleader.

Which one gets the NIL?

Cam and Vince both had better defenses. Like not even close. Imagine Vince and Cam if they could pass. That was Jayden.

Ah, of course, Cam Newton, the first college player to get a bag of money.

He was probably the same UGA fan who literally shite his pants in Tiger Stadium after losing to Ed Orgeron by 20 points…the first time.
This gets funnier every time I see it. Muh Ed O glory days
While we're talking about the past let's talk about Mark Richt beating Nick Saban's LSU 45-16

Cam got the NIL back then before it was cool

I've always heard Auburn gave him $200k. Is that accurate? A heck of a value.

Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniel’s

Now, he was never the best college QB, but since the OP put this in
I'm going to say Garrett Nussmeier should have been the Portal King. Either LSU paid a lot quietly, or his people did him a major disservice financially. Consider:
*son of a former QB who is a QB coach (eventually NFL OC)
*known strong arm
*somehow got a "gunslinger" reputation
After 2021, would have been a decent pickup when Orgeron left. He stayed.
*preseason 2022, Kelly said he was neck-and-neck with Jayden Daniels
*lit UGA up for 294 yds passing in 1 half of the SEC Championship
*2023, Daniels (the guy he was supposedly even with) returns and wins the Heisman.
*Nussmeier gets the bowl start as Daniels sits, throws for 395 yds.
*2024, he throws for over 4k yds without any WRs to speak of (contrast that with Daniels having 2 first rd picks).
You could see him leaving after spring 2022, not getting the starting job at LSU.
You could see him leave for lots more after that game in Atlanta.
I'm not sure anyone would test the waters going into 2024, but I could see him at least checking his value on the open market going into last season, expecially with no good WRs on the team, and a defense that had been ripped the past two seasons, a questionable OC in Sloan, LSU seemingly having the #1 QB committed (Underwood
), AND the fanbase screaming that he needs to run more.
Sure, last year was a bust. But either LSU made him rich, or he would have been the top QB in the portal maybe 2-3 yrs running.

I'm a huge Joe Burrow fan but could he or Daniels come back from 0-21 to Alabama?

Yeah, possibly. Daniels was a threat to take to the house on every single play. Dude was electric.

Another way to look at it would Burrow or Daniels in their prime be down 0-21 to Alabama?
