Not sure who from around the SEC is in this discussion, but wanted to toss Jaylen Waddles name into the discussion.

Lost in all the Tua coverage this Waddle kid (recruited out of Texas) came in as a true freshman, and took the punt return job.

Reports out of camp have been so high on Waddle that it was hard to believe. (Was being called a faster David Palmer)

But then we got a look at this kid Saturday, and be damned if he wasn't the fastest dude on the field, and had that rare combo of both elite speed and elusiveness.

A couple of teammates were interviewed this week, and asked about Waddles performance, and something that was said caught my attention "he's a legit 4.3 flat guy," and someone else threw out 4.28, but not sure where that number came from.

Anyhow who is Waddle competing with for fastest/most electric playmaker in the league ? Any other 4.3 sub 4.3 guys out there getting touches on Saturdays ?

BTW, this dynasty has existed without one elite QB, and hasn't had an elite PR guy for the past eight years, (Javy Arenas) but this years team apparently has both.

Prepare Anus, we comen in hawt

Mecole Hardman is one of the fastest football players I have ever seen. Give him a crease and he is gone.

I'm surprised by that. My memory sure had him as a speedster. He was damn near unstoppable as QB on two-pt conversions. Oh well, I've drank an ocean of whiskey since then.

The Jones kid for Ole Miss that tore his ACL Saturday is pretty dang fast and looked it on his kickoff return Saturday. Hate he is out for the season.

As a UGA fan I could name a few. Outside of UGA, I think Debo Samuel at USCe is pretty damn fun to watch!

I guess that's why he is being called a faster Palmer.

I'm not sure I'm buying Palmer didn't at least run a 4.5 though.

The fastest is likely Anthony Schwartz, but I'm nowhere near ready to even put him in the conversation for most electric considering he hasn't even touched the ball yet. I'm not sure what his lateral agility is, but I doubt there is anyone in the conference catching him from behind.

ETA: This is more than the usual Auburn inflated (or deflated) summer 40 times

I'm fairly confident in saying Waddle will lead the SEC in punt returns.

Considering Anthony Schwartz set the 100m World Youth Record last year and is expected to run a sub 10s in the spring, I'm going to go with him.

Doubt he is the most electric though

I think he and Ryan Davis will be head and shoulders above the pack.
