Greg Byrne hired Dan Mullen for MSU, I trust him.

Sylvester Croom is a possibility. He played and coached at Bama. I think y'all should force Saban out now and hire Croom.

You think the Gump melt right now is bad... just wait til Dabo goes to inbred land. The Clempson fanbase will lose it.

Clemson had almost no history before 2015, nationally most people probably don't know where it even is. I hate Alabama but they are a top 3 program ever. Also he's from Alabama

Not to mention...

kids eventually graduate from Clempson. I get that Gumps can't understand what graduate means, but Dabo's kids won't be there forever.

also...

1000 s.f. lake house? Is it a studio apartment? Clempson fans do realize real estate can be sold right? Even if he doesn't sell it, why couldn't he coach the Gumps and go on a vacation to the lake house? Considering Dabo is a cuck, maybe the lake house will be used by the wife solely.

tldr: he gone

They aren't getting Dabo he is set at Clemson. They can match whatever bama offers and his leash is about nine million miles longer than it would ever be at Bama

But he doesn't have the cloak and dagger support of the REC at Clemson.

There would definitely be a push to get Dabo first. If he comes to Alabama or not depends on a lot, but he's the one most likely to keep the Saban-train going with the fewest hiccups.

I imagine the goal would be to stick with someone with head coaching experience. Based on the current market, there's a number of G5 schools and some P5 teams that they could make a push for. I'd have to dig deeper to look at them individually as prospects.

I seriously doubt they'd offer a coordinator the job. If Kirby had stayed at Alabama I'd imagine he would have been the heir apparent, but not anymore.

I think Dabo would do fine at Alabama. He's a great recruiter and developer of talent, much like Saban. As far as "game day" coaching, it's a push if not a lean toward Dabo.

Alabama is a national brand, elite program, pretty easy to recruit players even if you're a marginally good recruiter. Dabo is a completely different personality than Saban, true...but he would be the most likely hire that could continue to sustain the kind of success that Alabama has had under Saban.

This Bama will win 2-3 more NCs before Saban retires.

Thinking Bryce gets us one in 21 and 22 and then in 23 a 3 peat for his retirement party.

You do realize that once he’s gone, Clemson is back in the cellar right?

Saban had a hip replacement, not because he needed one, but because Alabama is using the old hip to grow a new Nick Saban.
