I wish Jerry would drive across town and convince Rhett Lashlee it’s time to come home when Silverfield is fired. Eventually.
Someone above brought up PJ Fleck. In all honesty, that might work.
But without cleaning house in the Athletic Department, any change of coaching really doesn’t matter. The rot is within.

Back during coaching carousel time wasn’t Willie Fritz mentioned?

In passing or seriously? Because there were names being thrown all over the place.

Dan Mullen - available and proven he can win at a lower tier program.
Brian Kelly - available and Arkansas accent is easier to do
Jimbo - available and financially aet for life; would coach for love of the game. . .and opp to beat Aggy
Dabo - might be looking and experienced working with limited NIL
Mullen - OK
Kelly - NO
Jimbo - Maybe
Dabo - NO

Morris was begging for the Arkansas job.
He was announced as the coach at OKST five days prior to Arkansas announcing their guy, and he's making $1 million more.

So are you an OK State fan or a Georgia fan? I’m confused
I graduated from both UGA and OKST, among others.

That’s because our AD went the cheap route

The guy at North Dakota State deserves a good long look.

Eric Morris
As I have previously stated, Morris was announced at OKST five days prior to Arkansas announcing Silverfield.
Plus, Morris is making $1 million more than Silverfield.

The overreaction to first year coaches here is extreme. I mean even Saban, Kirby and Sark sucked in year one and they inherited a goldmine compared to Silverfield.
We should at least give the guy three years before shitting our pants.

I readily agree that this place is quick to want a coach fired.
Silverfield had Arkansas fans immediately revolting when he was hired, and Silverfield's own comments about the admin have been troubling.
I'm not saying he should be fired. I'm asking who else they realistically could have gotten.

So which one does your fandom go to?

Both, plus the others.

Silverfield was around the 5th or 7th choice. He was #4 in the pecking order of the AAC coaches. Franklin was one of the first guys Ark wanted but he chose Blacksburg. Mullen came out pretty early and said he wasn't interested and recommended on Twitter they needed to hire Malzhan. No body wants to coach at Arky. That's why they get turds like Chad Morris, Pittman, now this guy. Rumors in coaching circles are b/c Bielema (who's wildly respected in coaching circles) couldn't win and was treated like shite. To answer your question they could of had Malzhan or Petrino but would rather roll the dice on a young nobody turd like Silverman.

You left off Gundy.

I think Arky has nothing to lose.
