Wouldn't it make sense to have SCAR go back to playing Arky and have A&M play Mizzou every year since they at least have some previous Big 12 history with each other?

If memory serves, it was a concession to Mizzou to make up for putting them in the East. A close annual cross-div opponant helped make their annual travel schedule more reasonable.

A&M and SCAR just got matched up be default after that.

That actually says alot about your football program when you have hatred for frickin Vanderbilt, lol. That can't be a good sign for your football program when you hate a program like vandy, holy shite. Ole miss got the absolute best draw out of the sec east teams as their permanent cross division opponent and still hasn't made it to the sec title game.

Tennessee is a rival, but I don't really care about playing them every year. Same goes for Auburn as well.

But many other people do care, so you'll just have to deal with it basically.

There is the option of moving Auburn to the East in place of Mizzou and doing away with the permanent rivals (and re-establishing the great AU-UF and AU-UT rivalries).

But then you run into the issue of no Iron Bowl and no TSIO annually. The Iron Bowl is too fun and too important just to do away with every year.

Auburn and Alabama both being in the East would make the divisions too imbalanced. We'd have a situation like the Big Ten with their goober imbalanced divisions.

Nope. Just a game forced on us by the SEC to preserve the precious Alabama-Tennessee game.

UF and LSU have played every year since '71 so the games were being played anyway.

I've enjoyed the hell out of the Arkansas games.

Stuck the last nail in the coffin of Bert and celebrated a division title by running them.

Good times!

The one curious thing about the schedule of 6-1-1.

It’s not an NCAA thing that schedules have to exactly built the same. They just say that confs larger than 10 have to have 2 divisions.

Why can’t everyone else be 6-2 schedule. Ant let UGA, Bama, AU, & UT do the 6-1-1.

The scheduling would be difficult... but the SEC makes so much money, I’m sure they could pay some coputer guru 100k to just do the schedule.

That actually says a lot about you that you can’t detect obvious facetiousness.

If UTe ever became relevant again, the Bama alums in the SEC office would abandon this permanent opponent BS with the swiftness.

Florida-LSU I think UF-LSU has become a rivalry, even though we were possibly heading there on our own as we were playing every year since 1971. It is definitely must see TV when we play in any of the major sports and some of the most competitive games as well.

you ain't just a woofin' bro. lol.

the LSU/UF game is one I look forward to every year. saw Spurrier as a smart arse QB back in the day; I don't think UF had ever beat LSU until he got there and he never lost to us. then the sob beat us like a drum as a coach too!

my only consolation is he never beat us at USC.

LSU-UF is a nasty rivalry. When I’m walking up the ramp and I see those ugly arse blue uniforms stretching I know I’m about to see some blood.
