People that don’t own property should not be allowed to vote on property taxes. I will bet the farm that other than a few liberal loons, these millages were passed by POC that don’t own homes. None of the three were needed, it’s mystifying that the criminals running COA are getting more money to funnel into their own personal use. Wonder how many voters Cleo and Collis Temple personally helped get to the polls?
Of course she’s a placeholder. At some point near the end of his second term as governor, she will step down, and he will appoint her head of the LSU System (her dream job) and then appoint himself to her Senate seat. And stay there for life using his huge war chest built from being paid off while governor.
Bridge Side Marina has those abrasive pads on their steps and I liked them enough to put them on our deer stands.
That’s a good boss! We haven’t made it out to our favorite Vermillion spot yet, we’ve caught our snapper in closer. We struggled with them last year after stacking the box with some hammers in 2024. Reefs/wrecks, or natural bottom features? The spots we fished on our long range trip just weren’t showing many, and we were grouper focused anyway.
It was a bucket list trip for me. Went way out West. 6 of us had 27 grouper, our 24 snapper, 3 Barrelfish, 3 Queens, and an assortment of Porgys, Almacos, Rock Hinds, and such. We’ve eaten white meat all week. Planning to go again next year.

Word from the wise. Ride around on our local waterways (Tickfaw, Amite, Diversion) with teeny bikinis in your boat and you have a 110% chance of being pulled over by erryone. Green jeans, LPSO, Coasties…none of them must get out much, and they are going to want to check your personal floatation devices up close.

Demand is skyrocketing so the corn farmers can try to produce corn on marginal quality land (much of which was in the CRP before) so it can be squeezed into our gas tanks to support the ethanol hoax. Also driving up
Prices across the entire food chain. And the excess runs off into the Mississippi, and subsequently the Gulf, increasing the “Dead Zone” that the Enviros will blame on the Louisiana petrochemical industry.

One cannot hate the entire Greenwashing/Wealth Transfer enough.
Go to Native Island Daiquiris next to Starfish and order a Bushwhacker with a top shot of Crown Chocolate. And after a few of those kick your arse go back the next morning and ask Leo to make you a Bloody Mary to get you right.

I stay in the campground at Bridge Side and the guys I know that live in their campers down there in May and June told me last weekend it’s the worst it’s been in years. Weather has sucked and they’ve struggled. I’ve only been able to get offshore twice, not counting the 36 hr with the DTB guys.

Wife and boys loved it

(a) hang on to that woman!
(b) good for you getting your boys hooked, take them as often as you can. They will have busy lives of their own before you know it, then you’ll be having to patiently wait for the grandkids to get old enough.
My Dad had a triple bypass that day. The surgeon asked to move the surgery to the morning so he could watch the game. My ex and I watched at George’s on Highland while he was in recovery. The place was so packed it was like being in the stadium. They didn’t (and still don’t) have the best TV setup in there, so I had to rewatch it later to watch the ball leave the yard.
That was last year! They reported some huge percentage of the quota filled in Week One, close to 20% IRRC, and we were stuck in port in a 26’ Cat because of the seas. All I can figure is they kept the quota number the same and carried over the overage from the previous year. I will be irrationally mad if there’s any frickery with the numbers after WLF told us to piss up a rope on the Pogie issue.

Louisiana Coastal Winds

…have been off the charts horrible. Virtually no weekends where even a decent sized Cat could go out, I’ve seen more snapper hitting the deck from the Venice bayboat crew hiding in East Bay than the middle coast guides with big boats. Winds done seem to be high compared to the seas, guessing it’s the system that was near the Yucatan a few weeks ago still churning things up. We went last Sunday, and it was like a washing machine out there.

Only positive is this pattern has ended a historic drought where I hunt in South Texas, hoping in time for a good fawn and poult crop, and to put some mass on the racks.
And yet, Crackers are the ones funding his government assistance he’s gotten morbidly obese from. Who does he thinks pays for those moon pies and purple drank?
Tallow and Lard can be purchased in bulk for cheaper than you think. I Iike to make my own beef lard, ask the butcher at your local store to save the fat when they trim ribeyes and briskets. Then take the little bits of meat left after rendering and fry those into beef cracklings.

I am very heart healthy.
Go see Russ at ATV Zone in Roseland. He’s aces.

ETA, Brookhaven people I talked to twice were great, it was just that much further. Then I ended up at Smittys in Brookhaven buying my trailer anyway.
Graves Daddy bought him his first seat. Claitor underestimated what all that Daddy money would buy, and his Mom passing in the middle of the race was a huge distraction.

As has been said, Landry has a huge war chest and a VERY long memory. I’m not sure I’ve ever met a more vindictive person, and he will ruin anyone that takes a shot at him. It’ll keep people on the sidelines, even if most of the state wishes the Special Ambassador to Greenland had become his fulltime job.
Fished with Buckskin many times over the years. He’d rather have a gafftop than a trout
Forget Jesus, these people need Weight Watchers in their lives.
Frankly, many don’t ever even see their parents. Momma spits them out to get more benefits, the sperm donors are MIA and/or incarcerated. These yutes are housed with ahnties or grandmommas, so basically zero adult supervision.
