One game. And played 2 years at Auburn. But that makes him the dirtiest player ever.
Haters had to blame someone for Auburn having a defense in 2010. The Cam hate wasn't enough for them.

Ended Jimmy Brumbaugh's career. Would have played in the NL

You do know that he signed with an NFL team and could not make the roster, then played in the Arena League, right? It didn't end his career.

Recently, several members of the Tennessee Volunteer football team came down with staph infection

We did a clinic yesterday on proper shower technique and soap and using a rag. We put some new rags in," Dooley told reporters. "Y’all think I’m kidding, but I’m serious…we talked a little bit about application of soap to the rag and making sure you hit all your body."

Hines still tore up Brumbaugh's knee though. Maybe that's why he couldn't make a NFL roster?

Absolutely. Because nobody has ever made an NFL roster after messing up a knee. I mean he continued to play professional football. And what about Fairley's hit on Murry? Dirty or no? How about when he held Murry down on the ground and raked his chin strap across his chin causing him to have stitches? Dirty or no?

Lets just all be honest- we would all kill to have 4 Nick Fairly’s on our team’s defensive line

Turner should have been arrested by Tuscaloosa PD after the game.

Can I safely assume that most of this thread is everyone saying Nick Fairley except Auburn fans and a few LSU fans who think Dallas Turner committed a war crime on Daniels?

So its down to Fairley and Ward. The Fairley crowd has one game against UGA with a late hit on the QB. Have never heard anything about him being dirty while in the NFL. Ward had a devastating cheap shot on Brumbaugh from behind well away from the play that blew out his knee and he was never the same afterwards. In addition, Ward developed quite the reputation in the NFL for being dirty and going after opponents knees. Give the single game dirtiest player award to Fairley and give the career dirtiest to Ward.

I mean, it's not even close.

You'd have to take the next 5 dirtiest players and combine them to get close to Nick.

I know the exact play you’re talking about from the “Game of the Century”. Surely that was an accident.

The fact that he's still hero to AU fans on here and was given a huge ovation when he was made honorary team captain vs UGA in '17 shows you how much this fan base has fallen.

From where, their former lofty perch?

Carlos Rogers was the honorary captain that game. Nick Fairley was just there.

Fairley was a Lombardi Winner that helped his team to a National Title. Of course he's a "hero" to Auburn.

Oh, there were many more. But that was the dirtiest play I have ever witnessed.

I suspect more have had potential careers ended with a knee injury then were able to get past them.
And yes, I am not proud of what Nick did in that game. Was he a dirty player, I am not sure. Nick had a mean steak but the UGA game is the only one I can think of where he took cheap shots.

Could you imagine Dick Butkus out there today? He'd get arrested LOL and the crybabies would be screaming.
