Let's just say Chaz Ramsey, not the whole on-line. And f Chaz.

Totally agree. Fairley was disgusting in that game. If that makes him the dirtiest player, then you are right. I just don't recall any other games where he was dirty. Surely there are other examples of he can easily be called the dirtiest ever in the SEC. Please give more, thanks.
I didn't write Ward was the dirtiest player in the SEC, just wrote what he did to Brumbaugh was dirty. But Ward was know to be the dirtiest in the NFL

Can you show another time Fairley was dirty? Serious question.

Not Fairly-nondescript Auburn player
Honestly? That is the one I found for Fairly. There were three different plays on that one video, though. And for some Auburn fans (not you) to be shocked that someone would go after another players knee, y'all might want to check out the play where Fairley went after Aaron Murry's knee.

Thanks for providing examples, I did not recall those. I would not call those dirty, just unsportsman since those were not meant to injure, but if others feel those are enough to warrant being called the SEC's dirtiest player, then so be it. I cannot deny those happened and were not necessary.
Btw, while I really really dislike UGA, I thought Murray was a real dude for taking those shots and still performing the way he did.

I did find one clip where he hit the Oregon QB and it was labeled dirty, but when I looked at it, I thought it was a clean hit. As the QB was getting up Fairley did push the QB's head back into the ground, but that's not much, imo.

Ward had a big reputation for being dirty in the NFL. I just don't remember it ever being said while in college. (That said, we didn't have as much media coverage as we do now, so it might be true, but just not mentioned in the local papers.) He mainly played QB in college his sophomore year and didn't move to WR until his junior year.

And like I wrote earlier, the crack back block was not illegal at that time, just the way Ward did it was dirty. But I don't have any other examples for Ward in the NCAA. My comment about Ward was just one on Brumbaugh, nothing else.

Lowering your head to spear someone in the back is pretty much to injure, for me. That said, it was actually not illegal to do that back then. (He actually got flagged for a late hit, I think)
The main one I took exception to was when he raked his chinstrap across Murry's chin. Not sure if it was in the clip I linked. That split his chin open and required stitches. It was definitely deliberately done to injure.
In all honesty...if you look through the thread, most (if not all) of the players mentioned were called out based upon one play...two at the most.
And, If I am honest, I would have to admit I took a dirty shot or two when I played. Players get caught up in the moment and hit somebody in the back, or things at the bottom of a pile when nobody can see.

When I played we had a designed crack back block. I was running down toward a LB and was going to completely wipe him out. He turned and saw me coming. Ouch. He made me pay for the attempt.

Sorry, my comment about not hurting was outside the UGA game. No way can I defend the actions in that game.

Sitting in the front seat, with a guy holding a gun on him from behind, CEH was somehow able to amazingly shoot his captor in self-defense. And if you believe that, I have some original moon-landing film to sell you.

Eh. We are all fans and we all defend players of our favorite teams. We wouldn't be fans if we didn't!

Fairley was worse, but Dallas Turner using Dart’s head like a twist off bottle cap was pretty bad. Dart’s mom must be half-owl for his head to not pop clean off.
