Serious question, why is LSU in the top part?

I think theyre still pretty loaded on offense and they get Bama, Ole miss, and OU at home.
That's a very good objective assessment, especially from a fan of another team

I think LSU will have a very good, but more traditional, offense. I think the defense will be "average", which would be a huge improvement.
Bama (without Saban), Ole Miss and Oklahoma at Tiger Stadium- that's a big advantage. If that was road, I'd hope 1 of 3, we could in theory go 0-3. Being at home, I think 2-1 is likely, and 3-0 is very possible.
I don't think Bama will be the Bama we knew, don't think Oklahoma will be ready for the environment (it should be wild), and just don't think Ole Miss is the same team on the road.

Bama still has tons of talent and DeBoer is a good coach.

I don't know if he'll be able to recruit to the level Saban did, so over time Bama's talent edge over teams like LSU might disappear. But this season, Bama will still have a big talent edge over every SEC team aside from UGA.

If Jalen Milroe is still Bama's QB this year, Bama is going nowhere.

“ If Lane can’t win the sec or get in top 12 this year with Ole Miss he never will.”

Ole Miss will be in the playoffs this year. But, y’all are acting like it’s our once in a lifetime chance. We’ve finished in the top ten 2 out of the last 3 years. I see a pattern forming!

UGA- Should be a lock
Ole Miss- Needs to take that step forward but should make it
LSU- Depends how the defense performs
OU- No, schedule is ridiculous
Bama- Rebuilding
Mizzou- Sleeper
Texas- Maybe

Flip Ole Miss with LSU and knock out OU for Mizzou and you have it.

Yep. No way Milroe could take a team to a 12 team playoff. It’s not like he already took a team to a 4 team playoff.

That's it

Texas and Oklahoma get stomped they have no idea what playing an SEC schedule is like. Bama going 6-6, or worse

Bama is going to be mediocre and has to go to LSU

Since 1981, LSU is 4-17-1 against Alabama in games played in the state of Louisiana. All time it is just slightly better at 9-29-4.

Is last year considered 'recently'? 40-13?

Sure it is. It was also our only home loss in two years. And we do not play anyone in 2024 that will be at the level of Hendon Hooker and the Tenn offense was in 2022.

2023 lsu was more efficient than 2019 LSU that's a fact.

It would be funny for Tenn to win in Norman but I don’t think they have much of a shot

both are breaking in new QB's, but blowU does have the home advantage. On the other hand Heupel is very familiar with Norman. I'm just glad we never have to play there and no gooners will ever defile DKR stadium either.

An amped up Norman for their 1st SEC game will be tough no doubt, but I see OU with a new QB, new OC, and a patchwork O-line struggling with the Vol's front 7.

THis. LSU was middle of the pack with a Heisman Trophy QB and 2 potential first round WRs.
I don't see anything to make me think they will take that next step. Sure they prob get better on D, but they wont be as good on O. Looks like a wash to me.

LSU has USC to start the season in Vegas. Lincoln Riley hasn’t forgot the beat down LSU gave him in 2019 and Baker will still be ironing out the kinks.

It should be a close game and won’t be surprised if USC wins.

Playing USC to start the season and not a cupcake hurts LSU

Good news for LSU fans.. Kelly always has his teams ready to play that 1st game each year.. they show up every time.. well, at least for the 1st half..

Missouri's schedule puts them in the discussion, Oklahoma's puts them out.

Missouri lost top OL, but return 4 of 5; the new RB probably won't have Schroeder's rhythm with the offense down. WR and TE great.
Defense lost a lot of players and we don't know the coaches yet. Have some nice portal adds, but could lose some in April. Probably need to net +2 to 3 D starters in the late portal.
But the charmin schedule is inviting...

Bama will not make it. Unless the Saban hangover is in effect and the clowns selecting cave.
