WVU is going to be hard to beat. With LSU out of it, who's going to carry the SEC banner this year? Will Ole Miss reclaim their title?

Where does canes rank on this list? If you can’t set the record don’t you just call a booster and have them buy the record for you?

I just assumed that Texas fans were too busy drinking Natty Lite in a parking lot somewhere giving each other horns-up handjobs.

The record is like 68,888. The owner of Canes bought 6,000 of those.

So Ole Miss bought ~$85k in jello shots?

I respect it, but what a cash cow for that bar.

The LSU record of 62,000 shots generated around $250k in gross profit for Rocco’s. ($5-$0.80) x 62,000 = $260k.

The team that wins usually wins this "contest" and WVU while a good squad isn't likely to stick around long enough.

I hope Texas wins it all and sets the record for fewest shots bought by a champion.

That is something I could get behind....

Good god I can't believe I'm saying I respect Oklahoma for only buying 843 and being the runner up.

wasn't this the year they decided they couldn't in good conscience keep all that money and split it between an Omaha and an Oxford food bank?

Why are you against it? It's all in fun and a significant amount of the proceeds go to charity.

It gained traction when MSU won in 2021 but Ole Miss and Arkansas blew it up so much in 2022, they had to change the way they had them distributed. Think the record has been set each year since then.

Doesn't look like you had a very good "cypherin'" teacher when you were growing up.

I'm cypherin' that OU come in fourth on this deal.

I would say sure, but their side of the bracket is much easier than the all-SEC side of the bracket. They face Troy game 1.
