4 months ago, no one outside of Oxford thought he was an elite coach. Most wouldn't have even called him great. People just thought he was entertaining and most had come around to thinking he was likeable.

Then 2 high profile jobs came open and not a single other decent coach in the country was shitty enough to entertain leaving their teams so the media had to spin up this narrative of him being a game changer for someone so they'd have something BIG to talk about.

He's a great coach. He had great chemistry at Ole Miss that he probably won't replicate again. Sucks for us. Sucks worse for him. Sucks most for LSU.
I still think he's the greatest QB in the history of our program. Maybe all of college football.

His deep ball accuracy was insane.
Our best team ever was last year, and your current coach managed to lose 3 games with them, all 3 to inferior programs, 2 where he was a double digit favorite.
Not a single one of you believes deep down that Lane would have won the sugar bowl, and it torments you.

The fact that so many idiots think Vegas makes money by being able to magically predict the outcomes of sporting events is really funny to me.

That's not even what they're trying to do.

They make money by roughly predicting what a bunch of dopamine starved dummies with casinos in their pockets are going to think will happen and then using the incoming data to quickly adjust those numbers to the reality of what the dummies think will happen.

Lane made a D3 QB into an Ole Miss god

LOL.

If it were up to Lane and Simmons didn't get hurt, Chambliss would be getting ready to start a career in insurance sales after sitting the bench on a 9-3 team, and no one outside of Gainesville would care one way or another what Lane Kiffin was tweeting about.

Just being honest. Happy my coach does little with his Twitter account that's not team related.

Mine literally only tweets shark emojis and, if you go back far enough, elephant emojis.

It's pretty awesome.

If he ends up at LSU or Florida, I think the cycle finally ends when he gets fired in 3 or 4 years.

He'll get kicked back down to G5 and won't get another chance to piss off another P4 program after that.

My guess is Lane will see how far he can go with this Ole Miss team and that may have some bearing on if he believes he can win it all at Ole Miss.

This makes sense if you don't know anything about this team.

This is not the "if it can't be done this year, it can't be done" year.

This is the "oh, wow, you can now make noise at Ole Miss even in a down year" year.

We deliberately kept our NIL powder dry this year to try to make a run again next year once Simmons had some experience under his belt, and then somehow put ourselves on the cusp of making the playoffs without the major investments like we made last year and will make again next year.

I know that the whole point of this board is to see who can come up with and post the dumbest nonsense, but you may have jumped the shark here.

Should go to Oxford, with all the drama surrounding Kiffin would make for compelling television.

I heard Kiffin was going to sign his new contract live on GameDay. They're going to borrow Feinbaum from SEC Nation for the day and make him sign as witness.

Rece is going to wear his judge's robe from college football final and serve as notary.

You would immediately go from one of our most disliked fan bases to our best friends. You would likely not survive the insane party we would throw for you in the Grove in a few weeks.
I literally don't know a single Ole Miss fan who is remotely concerned. I don't even think I've seen anyone outside of some idiots on this board floating the idea that it might happen.

It's so not going to happen that I don't even think Lane was trolling with this post. He probably doesn't even know there are people out there saying that he's going to Florida.

It's so not going to happen that Pat Forde had to make up some insane hypothetical where Sark voluntarily leaves Texas for BYU and Lane goes to Texas just to get some Kiffin in the coaching carousel clicks last week.

We're the most overrated team you can ever remember at #4 because all we did was beat a paper tiger who was ranked ranked #4 but obviously shouldn't have been?

Literally not even our biggest win of the last 11 months.
That happened right in front of me, and I was so pissed we didn't come out and spike the ball 4 times to give it back.
This feels like one that gets away from us. Could see it anywhere from a 3 point Ole Miss win to a 3 score loss.

The spread has hedge bet against your team written all over it. I'm inclined to place a large bet on LSU so I'll be happy either way, but I'm terrible at guessing how much money I could lose without it being enough to sour an unlikely win.
7-3 or 8-2.

No sane person watched that game and thought the difference was home field advantage. The team that was a lot better won by a lot.
Can't tell if he's stupid or just a particularly unentertaining troll.

Could be both, I guess.
Kentucky was playing much better then. Don't know what happened to them since they almost beat Georgia then beat us a week later.

LSU played us without our best players.

Both needed to execute on some highly improbable plays at the ends of the games.

So I think that's your recipe: Play well enough that you could beat Georgia, hope for some midweek injuries, and then execute in some extremely difficult spots at the end.

Should be easy.
