Ole Miss doesn’t win enough to have a large sidewalk following. Think Bama

Easily Texas. Not even close. Not meant as a jab at Texas... it is what it is. Power of marketing.

One of the more interesting things I notice about Texas and Texas A&M when I watch on TV...

When they pan the crowd at an A&M game... the crowd is almost always pretty much white.

When they pan the crowd at a UTx game... You see a lot more Hispanic fans ....and I'm starting to see Asians more often in those crowd shots.

I’d say Alabama has the most but that’s likely to change soon.

Vanderbilt has the fewest.

I honestly take it as a compliment to have some of the least T-Shirt fans in the league. No bandwagon weenies, just real ones.

Austin is the largest city without a pro sports team so if you move there and want to root for something sports related it was the only major attraction prior to Austin’s FC. I’d say it’s Texas closely followed by Alabama.

And yea in San Antonio there’s a ton of UT fans that never went to UT. It’s also becoming incredibly difficult to attend, they changed the auto admission to top 6% and had I think over 100k applicants due to the law changes to pay for school
If your family makes under a certain amount annually. If you don’t get in but it’s your dream school a lot stay fans

My experience in Texas is that the better of Texas and aTm will win the t shirt battle. When Texas took control of the rivalry post-Bonfire game and won the 05 Natty, everyone was repping the Horns and VY.

Manziel changed all that.

I think the pendulum has swung back.

Probably Alabama, Georgia, and LSU.

South Carolina, Missouri, and Vanderbilt likely among the least. The thread another Gamecock fan posted about people’s relationship to their school basically proves it.

The Longhorn (the animal) has been associated with Texas (the State) since forever.

Those 2 things are some of the most recognizable images in the public domain.

I always see Burnt Orange Texas gear when we travel to Europe.

Every grad with or without a job beats the shite out of you. A spoiled little brat without even a GED living in his parents house. Lol

South Carolina has way more than you think. With no pro sports in the state, a lot of people that move down here just become Gamecock fans as a result.

I could see UGA being very high. It was the only football team in the state worth a damn for a century before an NFL team ever came around. And when the Falcons did become a thing, they sucked. Pretty much everyone in the state of Georgia was raised a UGA fan, and some Tech fans. The Falcons adopted red and black as their colors when they were franchised here to try and fit in with what the people in the state already had in the closet.

I used to travel a great deal , including some rather
remote places and always amazed at the number of Alabama
shirts I would see. In a bar in Yellowknife , Canada , sat down next to an
indigenous guy wearing an Alabama shirt. Asked him if he was a fan and he
said no , that he just liked the name.
