I don’t think it’s $20mil.

But I also don’t think it’s $2mil.

It’s more probable than not that the buyout is not 20M. I even gave my reasoning as to why I don’t think it’s 20M. What is your reasoning to assume it’s 20M?

You should ask internet user BeachBum. He has a hunch. Seems like a credible dude.

Scott Frost if it hasn't already been mentioned. Seemed like everybody in the world knew that was going to happen.

Parts of his contract are public. Some parts aren’t. There’s not much of an interest in accountability from MS residents when it comes to the state institution’s potential of getting money as there is the institution’s potential of spending.

This would be more relevant to auburn fans than MS residents.

Seems like low hanging fruit for a news article.

I'd assume it's important to OM residents because it directly impacts how easy it is for another school to hire Kiffin away.

The school can't contribute funds to NIL unless the buyout is somehow going to boosters

Seems Kiffin may put ink on that contract; who is Auburn’s choice after Kiffin? Dabo Swinney? Hugh Freeze? They may need to already be moving on. There was a rumor a day or two ago that they were talking to Dabo. Is Kiffin likely to stay in Oxford the reason? Is there a chance they sign Dabo while everybody is still thinking Kiffin?

Kiffin would be better off staying at Ole Miss, IMO

With the history of the actions of the money men at Auburn, no coach good enough to turn that program around would want the job.

Your opinion sucks if this is honestly your opinion. Auburn is a much better job than ole miss will ever be. Thats not even a debate. He should've stayed in boca raton and not went to one miss if his whole objective was to not further his career and one day reach a program where he could win a title. He can't do that at Ole miss. If he has any aspirations of winning even an sec title he must leave Ole miss bc it will never happen there.

I think a reasonable guess is Auburn wants other big fish candidates as options and to pressure/provide cover to Kiffin. But ultimately I think we’re just doing due diligence and seeing what the options are.

Re: buyout, coaches just have all the leverage these days which is why most contracts don’t have prohibitive buyouts
