Sloan can fix him.

He is quite possibly, no troll, maybe the best person to ever walk the face of this whole planet even at his young age, so he would be a good addition to LSU, that is a certainty.

He has a great attitude and is very friendly and smiles very often and his personality is infectiously personable.

Alabama is about to spend 10 years wandering in the wilderness. They’ve had their fun.

….I think Bama fans are starting to realize that now.

Mmmmm, for the vast majority I don’t think so. There are some Bama posters that are starting to recognize that their expectations for DeBoer were out of line, but my sense for the Bama fanbase at large is that they are seeing their current head coach as a failure already.

As an Auburn fan I can still recognize the college coaching brilliance of Saban, and the special place in history of Bear Bryant. However having these two special coaches leads to a big weakness for Alabama; a spoiled fanbase that will turn on any head coach that fails to live up to their outsized expectations. If the leaders at Bama cannot recognize this and deal with it then watching Gumps devour their own coaches seems inevitable.

The auNecks have their own issues with the horny little chipmunk in charge of the nest in Opelika. Worry about your own things; you've got plenty to worry about.

At least DeBoer is man enough to not take massive shits right on the heads of his own players after every single game.

Partner, you’re the exact type of clown we’re all talking about. Bama is on an accelerated collision course with mediocrity. Duboser will not continue the winning ways of the Saban dynasty. Neither Hugh Freeze nor Auburn have any thing to do with it. Y’all are now saying the talent isn’t in his place to run Duboser’s system and it’ll take 3 years. Delusional

DeBoer doesn't even know any of the players because he didn't recruit them. If he had recruited them, he would have the types of players he likes with the types of personalities and skills that he prefers to have in players that he coaches.

DeBoer was dealt a bad hand, really.

If the trend continues, he will be pressured to get rid of some assistants at the end of the season. If the trend continues next season and he doesn't make marked improvements (instead of 8-4, going 10-2) then he will be on the hot-seat. Third season - we make a change before the end of the season if the trend continues

Wait until he has 4 losses on the season which will probably happen this year. They will be begging Saban to come back every year . It will be a glorious watch.

Yeah all those 5 stars and top 3 recruiting classes. No talent to be found. The deflecting has already begun.

Yeah, but he doesn't know them. You can't coach a bunch of strangers; everyone in the coaching world knows that.

Y’all act like Bama can’t ever having bad stretches or losing seasons. Back in the 90s Bama was average. They switched coaches many times before landing on the coach. It took nearly a decade to right the ship.

I’m not saying that’s what will happen but it’s just as likely as them turning a corner.

Bama can lose. They aren’t all that anymore with the portal and NIL now evening things out.

Thinking otherwise is dwelling on the past. Saban is gone. They had an awesome run.

“Had” being the operative word there. The run is over.

I would have more concern if the same issues team is having this year were not the same ones NS was having the last few seasons.

In 2022 we had 17 penalties in Knoxville.

This time we only had 15.

Just like Napier but he will get Florida to beat LSU this season. Every coach now should get 3 years to get it done.

He's only 7 games into his tenure. Will re-evaluate in year 3.

he's playing with a roster of kids he didn't recruit outside of a few transfers

Their recruiting will be shittier and shitter the further they get from the Saban era

The current class was mostly recruited by Saban so it will be fine. The next class will be in the 10-15 range, then it will start to look like a typical DeBore class (ranked in the 30-50 range).

The future is in no way, shape, form, or fashion bright.

Hey Smokie, as Roscoe pointed out Gumps like you are exactly what is going to drag down the Bama program, keep up the good work.

I posted on this thread because it was on the main board, sorry that hurts your delicate feelings. As far as you telling me what to worry about you can either shove that up your a$$, or go post on the Bama boards if your sensitive fee fees cannot take the general college football fans comments.

I agree, the run is over but it’s not like anybody else is gonna start a new run. You said it, the transfer portal and NIL has leveled the playing field to keep one team or a select few teams from hoarding all the talent like it used to be. I think at the end of the day it will be extremely hard to go undefeated, especially in the SEC. I honestly think 1 loss and 2 loss teams will become in the norm and with teams potentially peaking late in the season it kinda becomes who gets hot at the end.

As for DeBoer, I am frustrated but it is his first year following a legend. I honestly thought we would lose at least 2 this year. I think that was a realistic guess. I would be ok with that if we were making progress every week and that’s where I am frustrated. It seems we are regressing without any real discipline or direction. It is what it is though, he is being fired unless maybe we go 6-6.

This is Bryan Harsin all over again

Harsin went 6-7 in year 1 with a bad recruiting class. DeBoer's class is much better (though not complete) plus he has a win over a top 5 team. Not comparable though I do believe Harsin was more a hard arse than DeBoer and probably ran a tighter ship.

We all knew Bama wouldn't handle losing well, but man, they are down bad.
