I have to disagree. Long field goals that come up short are often returned and that was an unusually long field goal which means it had a good chance of coming up short. I blame the coaching staff.

1974=ND…I was alive , at the University and this one

All I know is I was asleep at the tailgate later than night and ended up at a waffle house early the next day thinking I had already driven home and I was still 2.5 hours away

Consumption. And it was worth it too.

Same for me 2012 Bama. We dominated the game and lost.

And then that fricking screen pass.

It was the shite playcalling on the drive prior that led to a FG that was the problem. Miles once again played it safe and we lost.

The Auburn coaching staff did make changes to put them into position to run it back. Alabama's coaching staff should have realized that Auburn basically had a kick return on.

Terrible loss. I would add the 1973 Sugar Bowl loss to Notre Dame, 24-23, as well. At least Alabama still had a split title in 1973, the 1975 Orange Bowl loss prevented then from winning the title for the 1974 season.

2018 rose bowl vs Georgia. So many things piss me off about that game. So many times Georgia would break off a long run and our closest defender is 5 yards away. FUMS

As an LSU fan, low key the loss to Tennessee in 2005 pissed me the frick off.

The Rick Clausen game. God I hated Rick Clausen. Dude was a cancer to a locker room.

1994 Cotton Bowl vs Notre Dame. If Leland McElroy catches that quick pitch, he’s clear to the end zone and we win a share of the NC.

Not only was I at that game, I spent that night in a room in Bob Toledo’s suite. (Not that he knew it. It’s a long story. I’ll not tell it.)

They had no chance at a natty though.

1979 LSU vs USC. That USC team was the most talented that I’ve ever seen LSU play. Should have won had it not been for a face mask call on Benji Thibodeaux.

2016 Clemson

This for me hands down. 2010 Iron Bowl was already a 2 loss team and we were just spoiler. 2013 Bama could’ve 3 peated but I don’t view that team as an all time great and Auburn lost the natty anyways.

2016 could’ve gone down as one of the greats of all time. Personally, my favorite defense I’ve ever watched. They scored themselves 1-2 times every game. The offense shite the bed so hard that game. I wanted that defense to be rewarded so bad but they were just too gassed.

I loved that team, sucked so hard to lose that one.

99 offensive plays by Clemson, not a single hold called against the greatest pass rush I’ve ever seen. Give me a fricking break.

Kick Six. All of the winning we've done has erased the pain of the few losses we've had, save this one. That game still bothers me.

2003 Tennessee game gets an honorable mention here, though. frick Tennessee. frick them.

State’s 2014 loss to Bama is probably the toughest. We had a horrible start and were down 19-0 in the second quarter.

We battled back and had Bama on their heels late but ran out of time and lost 25-20. Cost us a spot in the first playoff.

Hell, it’s a toss up for OU.

2004 Sugar Bowl vs. LSU. The Tigers were easily the better team. They never trailed. Sooners had so many chances and even had a shot late to tie perhaps going into overtime. Weird game. It felt like a blowout when it really wasn’t.

2017 CFP to Georgia. Conservative play calling in the second half and Georgia just never faltered.

2001 Bedlam. OU wins that game, likely defeats Colorado in CCG before facing Miami. OU had a better defense in 2001 compared to their previous year winning it all. That loss sucked the wind out of the season in tune to a boring 10-3 win in the Cotton Bowl.

There are others but I’ll just leave it with these three.

Well you have always seemed like a good dude to me since I've been posting here, and I'm glad you had a good time. I went to bed shortly exhausted from the roller coaster ride of that game. I think the only time I have been that tired after a game was the 7 ot game between LSU and aTm.

2008 UGA vs Bama, UGA ranked #3, BLACK uniforms and stadium crowd dressed in black, Gameday, UGA on an 11 game win streak. Stafford, Moreno, Green.

Score at half: 31-0 Bama

This changed the Mark Richt era and announced the arrival of Bama as the power in the SEC.

It's no secret that we've been down for a while so it's difficult to pick just one loss. The truth is that over the past decade we've lost more than the Washington Generals. We've been reamed more than a $5 crack whore.

Losing to Maryland in back to back years was embarrassing, but getting beat by Kansas in 2016 has to be the low point.
