Some of the worst, backward arse politicians in the country.

Like a former classmate of mine, son of a Southern Baptist minister, who went on to become an oh-so-conservative Republican Speaker of the Missouri House. Where he pushed his oh-so-conservative opinions and values onto the rest of the state. Until he was busted for assaulting a woman (not his wife) during a BDSM sex session a few weeks after his divorce. When she protested, and woke up after losing consciousness, he told her she should have said "green balloons," their agreed upon safe word.

I have no problems with people holding conservative values. I hold some myself. And I have no problems with what consenting adults want to do behind closed doors. But to tell everyone else how they should live, and judge whether their choices should be acceptable in the great state of Missouri, when you're doing that stuff?

Why would you be embarrassed of a place you willingly choose to live in? If you are not proud of it, move to a place you can be proud of.

Yeah, because I explicitly said that I'm "embarrassed to live there", right?

I would probably have to say the extreme mountain people.

Then shirt Alabama fans, then shirt Kentucky fans.

FWIW, Leslie Cochran is dead. And I'm not sure he ever hurt a fly. Let the man lie in peace.

WLR is pretty nice, Chenal Valley is

There's a lot of rundown areas in LR and for some reason there's not been development on the east side of town that I can remember, been a while since I've spent much time in LR. Used to have to drive down 2x a month for state meetings back when I was a professional and shite.

The city being a cluster has spurned Conway and Maumelle's growth and the little towns around there are drying up too. Just like you and me man, there's not really any decent opportunities in the small towns we grew up, gotta move to the larger cities for work and fun. Go back home to relax a bit and get your belly full on home cooking.

Arkansas- that our two biggest cities are basically giant ghettos...luckily the rest of the state is way different.

lol

Little Rock can actually be a very nice place to live. The whole city is not a giant ghetto. One nice big subdivision in Little Rock has more class and wealth than all the "nice" parts of Fayetteville combined. Get out of here with that ignorant crap.

If you're racist and grew up some place that's 90% white, I'm sure you just see Little Rock as a giant ghetto.

Never said it had been

Although it's been better than whatever shite show the Conservatives could've put together

And besides, my comment was in reply to politicians trying to stop kids from developing critical thinking skills. It's pretty obvious what political party those politicians belonged to

first i've heard of this. however, i was raised in la and i have always been embarassed by louisiana politics. however, after being here in tejas for the last 7 years, i think the politics here is as bad or even worse. at least la.'s has improved. here, it's like if you think for yourself and don't participate in extreme right wing "ideological tribalism", most folks consider you a liberal.

No kidding. Those damn billboards all along the interstate make our state seem so much trashier than it is.

North Arkansas Racial Cleansing
quote:

when sundown towns were at their peak, more than half of all incorporated communities outside the traditional South probably excluded African Americans, including probably more than a hundred towns in the northwestern two-thirds of Arkansas. White residents of the traditional South rarely engaged in the practice; they kept African Americans down but hardly drove them out.

...and of course, Sheridan.

In Texas: Lubbock, Rick Perry, Yell Leaders, Waco.

Arkansas: the entire eastern section, Texarkana, and idiots who have lived in thee bubble their whole life and think little rock as a whole is ghetto. Get the frick out of your moms basement in your small country arse town in Arkansas already.
