I spent a lot of time in fort smith growing up. Never realized how bad it was till I went to other cities. Little rock is somewhere that I don't think I would ever live by choice...win the amount of money it would take for me to accept a job there I could afford to fly in daily. I just don't like dirty places, Damn fayetteville hippys are as dirty as ill accept.

I was born in little rock and go back there occasionally. They seem to have done a nice job with the riverfront area.

Your opinion, but obviously lots of people think it's a fine place to live. Just stay north of 630, and you're just fine.

And while I would never, ever live in Ft. Smith again if I had a choice, it's not that bad. Typical manufacturing, blue collar town.

i don't think the library is very pretty but it's very nice on the inside and i don't think it's our worst.

i'd say the crappy road on i40 is more embarrassing than most anything else.

Good point about Texas...

1) All the illegals and their constant county whining.

2) Californians in the Hill Country fricking up the politics.

3) Waco, El Paso, The Valley and Lubbock

Oh, and my answer to this question is this:

I hate that we went down in the history books as ignorant racists.

Have you lived in Little Rock before?

I was born and raised in Central Ark. and while its no NW Ark. it is no different than living in Birmingham or Memphis or Baton Rouge or any fairly large southern city. You have to be tolerant though.

My grandpa was one of the US Marshalls who escorted the students into Central High. He was also down at Ole Miss when they integrated.

Very cool! Good for him!

My grandmother lost friends because she supported integration. I don't think I've ever been more proud of a family member for anything.
