First a recap. LSU capitulated and filled its roster, eliminating Harris and Wright from playing at all this year.

LSU has demonstrated its willingness to comply with SEC rules even in face of a TRO that would legally allow them not to.

Essentially LSU said that the risk of getting booted from the SEC is worse than the potential lawsuits from players in question.

So what SHOULD happen:

The SEC should drop the lawsuit vs LSU and drop the vote to expel LSU as LSU is now in compliance.

The SEC, including all 16 members, should meet and vote that the conference can expel members in the future for grave violations. And the conference as a whole should establish clear and concise rules of eligibility that are applied equally along with clear and concise punishments for rule breakers including rules for expulsion.

Then all involved can put this mess behind them and continue to make hundreds of millions of dollars

But I don’t think that will happen.

Egos are involved and the SEC will continue with its suit and regardless who wins the decision today or the vote tuesday, neither side will back down and in the end there will be no real winners both sides will lose millions

Actions have consequences.

LSU tampered with NFL rosters and organized kids to sue the SEC so that LSU could have a cover for breaking rules.... while still on probation for the Will Wade stuff mind you.

They got caught.

Now LSU fans think we should just drop all charges and move on. Nope. There will be consequences.

I suspect the SEC will simply demand LSU issue a formal apology and an admittance that they were in the wrong along with some type of punishment for Kiffin... ie a 2-3 game suspension and a fine. But the SEC might be trying to set a big example and it wouldn't shock me if that got expanded into a postseason ban or an outright firing of Kiffin. We shall see.

One thing I do know: this isn't just going away now like nothing ever happened.

We tried to tell yall that a week ago but yall went forward with your show trial and your big talk over the weekend. This could have easily been avoided.

There is no evidence that this is true

You left out a step.

LSU needs to get the Louisiana suit dismissed. We know all the protestations about it being the players acting on their own are total BS, as evidenced by the Louisiana AG sitting at the counsel table with the plaintiff's during the injunction hearing. Kiffin initiated the litigation. LSU can bring it to a halt.

Good analysis of the legal situation can be found, here: Trish Whitcomb Substack

The judge in BR has yet to sign the injunction order, but the draft prepared by the plaintiff's attorneys (which is standard operating procedure -- state trial court judges don't usually draft their own orders, instead relying on the prevailing side to draft it) basically leaves the SEC with no remedy short of expelling LSU. If the BR suit is dismissed, and the SEC is given other options, then all the litigation can stop, the SEC can impose appropriate penalties (way short of expulsion), and sanity can be restored.

It’s innocent until proven guilty in this country, just in case you forgot. And there’s no public evidence for showing that this is true. Hell, even Todd Monken had to walk his comments back about Lane calling him about Wright. I’m sure you conveniently missed that

LSU was also enjoined in the suit with the NCAA and SEC.

So you want LSU to “get the lawsuit tossed” that they’re a part of as a defendant? Yeah, that’s illegal.

To is is factually wrong.

The kids sued the NCAA, as did hundreds of other athletes to get a TRO. the SEC then rushed and made a rule saying the can’t play which caused the kids attorneys to then include the SEC in the lawsuit.

The SEC has fricked this up every step along the way.

this is B .S. they'll never prove these allegations. LSU encouraged players to sue? that's a new one. as if they needed encouragement.

There is zero proof LSU actually did this.

And I suppose all those attorneys they hired are just working for free? Come on, man. Just admit it. This has been a Lane Kiffin production from the start. He started it. If he can't stop it, then that's a reason why LSU might have to go. We can't have a league that is run by the politicians in BR.

If they had the proof they would have included it in the lawsuit.
