I must’ve missed that. That’s promising

Worried about Kade Anderson

Not a medical professional by any means, but the grip issues he was having on Friday are scary because that could be related to UCL issues.

Hoping it isn’t and that we get an update from Jay this week (unlikely). We absolutely need him if we want a chance to win it all.
They also brought in a former 5 star Edge from Bama and a WR that would start at LSU, Tristan Smith.

That’s more than they’ve done in the past 2 years.

Their DL is going to be stout. A DL and Edge expected to go in the top 10 of next years draft and that’s not including the 2 stud Edge’s they got in the portal. That OL better be ready
Dabo finally adapted a little bit to the current stage of college football and actually got some big time transfers to come in. Of course right before they play LSU.

They also have 5-6 guys expected to go first round in the NFL draft next year. There isn’t that large of a talent gap as you think.

This game comes down to defense stepping up for once in a long time and Nuss making good decisions
Stanfield is the perfect leadoff or 9 hole hitter. Curiel is the best hitter on the team so you want him to have the most at bats, which leaves Stanfield at the 9 spot, which he has excelled in this season.

If it were up to me, I’d go:
1. Curiel
2. Jones
3. Dickinson
4. Frey
5. Hernandez
6. Pearson/Brown
7. Braswell
8. Milam
9. Stanfield

Yeah it may limit your LH bats, but I think it protects your power hitters at the top more by stacking some RH bats together. Then again, I’m just a fan.

Could also switch the Pearson/Brown platoon with Hernandez
Listened to his podcast from yesterday, and he mentioned that the combination of Curiel, Jones and Dickinson at the top of the lineup (1,2,3) has brought LSU to a 24-4 record, with an 11-4 record in the SEC.

Without that combination leading off the lineup, LSU is 14-7 with a 4-5 record in the SEC, and they’re averaging 2 runs less per game.

Seems like the simple fix is to put that combination back at the top, bump up Hernandez to the 5 slots and bump down Pearson and Milam to the 7/8 holes.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but he struck out Konnor Griffin to start the game off in that clip that OP posted.

Your AD is dumb if they don’t try to throw everything at Wes Johnson

F Auburn, could you at least win one vs Texas?

Texas is gonna lose 2/3 next week at home to A&M

In Frey’s defense, he’s hit a lot of hard hit balls that have been right at fielders in SEC play

What are you going to do with Arkansas, Tennessee and A&M? Their pitching is much better than what they saw this weekend.

You mean the Tennessee team who gave up 26 runs in one day against A&M at home? Or the Arkansas staff who just got hit around at Georgia? Or the A&M team who had to score 13 unanswered runs against SC this past weekend including 2 grand slams in the bottom of the 9th to win 15-12?

Come on man, every team has pitching issues and every team has bad weekends. Sucks it happened, but you dumb frickers were saying this about the 2023 team who won a natty.
I think you mean MS State just beat Bama. Oklahoma lost at Bama 2 weeks ago, and then beat Vandy this past weekend at home 2/3.

What’s with the thought process of taking your best arm out of the pen and replacing him with an inconsistent arm?
