I haven't been to Athens in 20 years but I remember it being a huge arse stadium with terrible concessions and restrooms designed for a 15k seat stadium.

Sanford is no jewel and has no charm whatsoever, but it's not really in dump territory. And it's probably the most vibrant college town in the conference with decent enough tailgating, etc., which keeps it off any list like this on the overall gameday experience.

I went during Covid so I didn't get the full Neyland experience, but they need a Kyle Field-style makeover. I see that they are doing that in places, but I think that when they are done, they will still have a lot of uncomfortable seats. Reminds me a whole lot of the Cotton Bowl.

Vaught-Hemingway is pretty bare bones, and also needs a big time makeover. We'll see if the currently planned project does the trick, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Missouri is just a boring setting. If you go back and look at the historical photos, the original stadium is almost a carbon copy of Jordan-Hare. I don't know why they put the cameras down so low, but it definitely makes watching games played there a different experience on TV. But, other than being rather bland, it's an OK football venue.

I didn't love Brice-Williams, but it was hot as blazes when I went, and they were not playing well, so maybe its a better environment when they have something to cheer about.

Swamp was pretty neat to me, for so much of it being old, but I was fortunate in that we played a night game. I would imagine that it lives up to its name for most day games.

LSU has some really bad seats, and a real thrown together look, but it does usually have a good environment.

Bama, Auburn, State, UGA, and Arkansas are all OK by me.

I always hated watching Missouri play at home those camera angles are all screwed up.

Absolutely. The games from Missouri on TV are terrible to watch. Why they don't put the cameras up higher is beyond me.

Vandy's stadium is a glorified high school field. Good bars nearby though.

Tennessee by a mile. Unless you’re emaciated and dying, no average adolescent would even fit in to their assigned seating. Worse, most of the people attending their games have a BMI north of 45 and the nightlife in Knoxville rivals that of Starkville. You’d have a better time out in Jackson, TN on a Tuesday night than Knoxville on a game day — and Jackson on a Tuesday is horrible.

Just an overall hell hole honestly.

Vanderbilt is off of West End in Nashville and because of that, it is amazing.

Vanderbilt easily.

So much so that I actually forget to put them on my own list. They are utterly forgettable.

Tennessee. They need to re space their seats for adult-size humans and bring capacity down to about 80k where it should be.

Besides Vandy sadly it’s us

This is true from a hostility/advantage factor for sure. And as much as I’d like things to be different I’ve realized over time it’s just not in the cards for us.

If the west is on the line we can have a great atmosphere but it takes something hardcore like that to get people truly loud. And fans are going to leave early to go to the grove. It just is what it is.

Now with that said you don’t typically get people of Walmart types in the stands at Oxford that make the crowd shots on ESPN. We have a good looking crowd, especially the women. So you are not going to get the good looking crowd and also a hostile crowd at the same time, because that is not how it works. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

At least we have room to move around though unlike Tennessee

Anyone who complains about the seating in Neyland is telling on themselves for being out of shape.

All of these giants in Oxford and yet Ole Miss has never won a conference title in basketball? Sad.

Surprise, AGGY and their Gomer Pyle stadium by mile.

1st you are forced to stand the entire game.

2nd you never know when their play army pooper scooper is going to throw horse shite on your band.

3rd or when one of the little cult play army dweebs is going to putt a sword on your cheerleaders.

4th they will scream “uncover” at you when they deem it necessary for you to remove your hat.

5th never walk on the sacrificial grass. if you don’t know where that grass is, just remain off all grass.

lastly. they say Howdy and expect a response.

Neyland has its faults but anyone claiming it's "the worst" in the league has clearly not been to many stadiums. The fact is, in this league you pretty much have a group all lumped in together that are big/nice stadiums taht get loud and are historic to some degree with very little separating them from the others (bama/uga/lsu/AU/uf/atm/ut), then you have the next tier that are all decent but lacking something that prevents them from the top group (arkansas, ole miss, msu, carolina, kentucky), then you have tier 3 consisting solely of missouri, followed by vanderbilt alone at the bottom.
