Best: Alabama

Worst: South Carolina

I have no idea why the Gamecock fans were so nasty, but they were pretty awful to deal with.

No doubt about that part

I've been to every pre-2012 member stadium in the conference other than Kentucky - I've never had a bad time and only had a few rare negative moments. For the most part, people are good and fun if you are fun and happy.

Prime example for me was 2008 in Baton Rouge. That was as charged an atmosphere as I think you'd find in terms of a tinderbox kind of feeling. However, we were tiger baited 6-7 times and just kind of laughed, had fun with it and said Roll Tide or smiled and EVERY time the group that did it either yelled hope y'all have fun or invited us in for food and drink. It wasn't malicious, it was just fun big game banter. Some people can't seem to hear that stuff without being like "FVCK LSU" or whatever.

Some people just don't know how to go to road football games, and those people should probably just stay home.

Best-
They're mostly the same. Generally, all the fans will treat visitors well. LSU fans are going to yell Tiger Bait at them while being hospitable at the same time, though.

Worst-
Florida. What the hell is wrong with those people?

Best for me was either A&M or LSU.
Worst was Tennessee, by far.

I think this is a large reason why the WLOCP can get nasty between fans. Both teams treat it as an away game, so there is no "remember to treat them as guests, be respectable, show them a good time" thought process.

We go to Jacksonville to beat the Gators and for no other reason. They go to Jacksonville hoping to beat the Bulldogs and for no other reason.

Wondering if any Florida fans who went to the game in Athens in 1995 or Georgia fans who went to the game in Gainesville in 1994 would care to chime in on this...

Seems like the hate towards Jortsville PD is universal though.

1. Auburn
2. State
3. A&M

This is based on my experience everyone’s might be different. We rag on A&M for being cheesy but irl they aren’t that bad.

1. Florida
2. Bama
3. Arkansas

Hands down the worst.

Gainesville police are fricking awful, even for Gator fans. I assure you, we hate them as much as you do as visiting fans. Just constantly something with them.

The worst experience was hands down Miami vs UF in 08. Miami fans are fricktards but the cops didn't help the situation at all. Saw fans getting bammed by cops quite a few times. Heard there was a record amount of arrest that day, but not sure if actually true. frick I hate Miami fans.

The vast majority of fans understand the costs that go into traveling for away games, and in turn, respect the opposing fans that are willing to spend that money to go into a perceived hostile territory to watch their team play. They are willing to bend over backwards to make them feel welcome by feeding, drinking, and bullshitting with them. It’s primarily the idiots that never travel to other stadiums, and feel like they have the numbers behind them to act like an arse, that always take it over the line.

Best- Florida. I’ve never had a bad time besides home loses.

Worst- UT but even that wasn’t bad.

I’m somewhat limited on the stadiums. Gainesville, Jacksonville, Knoxville, and Athens.

I don't know the best, but UGA fans are definitely the worst. I've had a great time in every other SEC city for a football game except Athens. And I've been to Athens for a game 3 times, so they're not isolated incidents.

This sounds like you may be the problem.

fricking Ole Miss in Oxford in 2014. That win in early October was clearly the biggest win that 50 year old Rebel fans had ever experienced. Grown men actively trying to start fights with College kids

Had sole or small groups of UT, LSU, and AU fans be dicks but can’t really place that on a whole fanbase especially when most were openly friendly

I still laugh at the grandmother thing, but the curses we got from some of the other Georgia fans that particular day were not as funny. Other visits to Athens since then as I've aged have also been less than hospitable, which kind of stinks because Athens is a cool town.

Worst by far were UT fans in Austin this past year even though they are outside the SEC. Talk about a superiority complex
Although I hate Ole Miss and their fans I always have a great time in Oxford with my buddies who are fans up there
Florida fans are the worst i’ve experienced in the SEC and A&M are the weirdest

Had the same problem. they were cool the Friday night before and after the game ended, but during that Saturday it was awful.

The best so far is UGA fans. Also had a good time with kentucky fans.

I've been a few times and I live here in Jax now, and I can say I've never had a bad interaction with Florida fans on game day. Most people just want to eat, drink, have fun, and root for their teams.

In general, if you have a lot of problems on road trips, you should probably look in the mirror. Auburn fans are a good example here. They come the Athens acting like complete assholes and then wonder why they're treated poorly.

One year I need to make an Auburn Georgia game in Athens just to see what everybody is talking about

Been to Jacksonville 8 or 9 times for the WLCOP and the only incident I personally witnessed was between an a-hole/drunk Florida fan and a Florida fan who was hanging with us.

Seems like every time we got back to Athens and now Atlanta someone we know who went down there has a story to tell, and not just UGA fans. Plenty of UF fans living in Atlanta make the trip to Jacksonville.

Best: unquestionably Ole Miss. Some of the best southern hospitality I've ever been treated to. Although LSU fans brought a great time to Austin last season

Worst: Probably A&M, but they have inherent hatred for us
