This is definitely the question that will be asked now. People who think the 3-loss SEC teams being left out is "good" are morons.

It's been asked ever since there was a playoff, Bama fans are just now realizing they aren't special.

A&M got left out in 2020 in favor of Notre Dame.

Money and exposure.

We certainly aren't the ones that should be asking these questions. I don't want to be a program on the level of Southern Miss.

SOS is great but you have to WIN. And not have any questionable losses. The opportunity was there for SCAR, Bama, Ole Miss and Mizzou. All you needed was one more win. ONE MORE WIN.

I understand LSU fans are fricking retarded but the current format fricks EVERY team in the SEC. We are penalized for playing harder opponents week in and week out.

The best recruits want to play in the best conference. That + the money make it worth being in the SEC even for schools who may never win the conference.

Also stability. The SEC isn't going anywhere and if some sort of super-conference forms, it would be assumed that all existing SEC teams are grandfathered in. Big 12/ Pac 12/ ACC may not be around in a decade, SEC will.

Which is much easier to do in weak conferences. Thanks for reiterating my point.

What is the point of playing in the SEC?

First ask yourself what is the point of college football?

The point of college football for me is to be entertained by watching my team play against teams like Ole Miss, Florida and Alabama week in and week out, with an occasional foray against a quality OCC opponent. That's because I like watching college football during the fall.

Is the point of college football for you to watch your team beat the shite out of scrubs every week just to lose in the playoffs?

Why does everyone hate football all of a sudden?

Each of Ole Miss, Alabama, and South Carolina only have themselves to blame.

If Alabama doesn’t lose to Vanderbilt or Oklahoma, they’re in.

If Ole Miss doesn’t lose to Kentucky at home, they’re in.

If South Carolina doesn’t lay an absolute egg at home against Ole Miss, they’re in.

It’s quite simple. You can’t hope for a miracle SEC SOS argument to bail you out of bad losses.

There is no point at all.

Playing in the SEC puts you at a disadvantage for the postseason.

The SEC and ABC are making a fortune, and we're getting screwed in the process.

I say Alabama should join the MWC and get a first round bye every year from here on out.

If I were a bottom half SEC team I’d be making some calls to the Big 12 and Pac 12 today.

Well you're almost there, so get your dialing finger ready.

I love how all of the people who keep harping on this are fans of teams that are barely bowl eligible

All of these fans from teams who didn’t compete for the playoffs this year have no idea that there will be a year where they will be in the same exact position as Bama South Carolina and Ole Miss.

I’m talking big picture and these retards think I’m bitching about just my team being left out.

LSU fans are clowns in this thread.

What a stupid argument. Clemson laid multiple eggs this year and they're in the playoff because their conference sucks. That's the entire point of the OP.

Even at our 4-8 record, I still say it. If you want to be champs, you have to play like champs.

if you can make it thru with 2 losses your guaranteed to be in almost.

Bama, SC, Ole Miss, and Mizz all had the schedule to only lose 2 games, but shite the bed...and have no one to blame but themselves.

Memphis is #25 at 10-2...and they ain't in the playoffs.
