re: Maybe it wasn’t all Tommy Rees
but his fastest recorded 40 is 4.60
That time is bullshite.
If you can take the ball from behind the LOS, and take it 80 yards, untouched to the house vs. an SEC defense, you run AT LEAST a 4.4.
And the reason people are saying Ty Simpson isn't close to Milroe's running abilit...
He managed to stay healthy last year somehow. I think it was the first full season he’s played in as a starter since HS maybe. Should’ve known that was an anomaly
Yeah after last year, I figured the bad luck might finally be over for Tua, but here we go again.
I think he needs to...
re: alabama, how do you like how deboer is using Milroe so far?
Posted by BasedCrimson on 9/12/24 at 6:35 pm
I think he needs to give Milroe more consistent, easier passes instead of having everything downfield. Also, a LOT more designed runs.
So far, I think Tommy Rees did a better job with Milroe, but we'll see what adjustments they make.
We have yet to see Milroe look in-command of this offense...

Interesting to note that Jalen Milroe was the most prominent pl...
He did beat mighty Saban and the Gumps a couple of times
Back when RPOs were brand new, and Saban hadn't adjusted yet. Wasn't that like 10 years ago?
Gus Malzahn and Hughey were taking the SEC by storm
Ahh those were the days. ...
The complaint about Ty was never processing, it was pushing in situations you didn’t need to push in.
This, and he doesn't seem to handle pressure very well. The more pass rush, the more he seems to push and potentially turn it over.
I think it's entirely possible that Ty is bett...

His first snaps?
He got snaps all fall camp. It's not like he's a freshman...
But lets remember M Jones was in the same boat as Simpson.
Not even close. Mac Jones was sitting behind a top 5 draft pick at QB and currently one of the best QBs in the NFL.
Ty Simpson has been unable to surpass a QB in Milroe who won't be drafted anywhere close to the first rou...
I'd almost say frick it and keep him out until the UGA game.
Same. We won't need Proctor vs Wisconsin. Pritchett is all we need.
We'll need all hands on deck for Georgia...
It’s weird but I love it. Really liking what Wommack is doing. This weekend should tell us some more. This defense is flying like days of old.
I just want to see more blitzes. I really thought we'd be getting a Pruitt-esque defense, but to me this is looking like a Golding bend but d...

Yeah this is the issue with the new conference and no divisions.
In any given year, your schedule can be absolutely fricked, or you could pretty much coast through.
I think they need to base the conference schedule on preseason rankings. Like seeding ...

I'm not sold on Wommack yet. We'll see once we face a competent offense.
However, I can give credit to our front 6/7 - they're doing a great job. ...
It's delusion from people who want Ty Simpson to be something he isn't. Period, end of story. The idea that two straight coaching staffs (one in which we had no incumbent starter, one in which has no loyalty to the previous starter) didn't find Simpson to be a realistic option speaks volumes....
Am I hallucinating or didn't Milroe begin his career as a RB?
Not far off. He started off as an option QB who either handed it off or kept it every single play. Why? Because whenever he'd pass the ball it was a likely INT.
Consider how far Milroe has come since his first start ag...

I'll be honest - I'm not sure.
DeBoer's offense puts a lot on the QBs plate. He says that his offense is QB-centric.
I'm getting the feeling that our coaches thought that Milroe was much further along than he really was. Maybe he does better in practice and can't carry it over to the games i...
Something happened in that locker room last year that made Saban say, "frick this" about coaching.
He alluded to players spiking their helmets after the Michigan loss.
Guess who spiked their helmet after the...
DeBoer is sorta known for being aggressive with going vertical in the passing attack
Yeah, and it works really well when you have Michael Penix Jr. throwing to Rome Odunze
Unfortunately our best vertical threat is Jalen RB Milroe throwing up a wounded duck to a 6'0" 17 year-old a...
