Meh, it has the same liberal annoyances as most other schools, but it's pretty conservative.

AU would probably be top 3 for conservative.

Yeah, I'm not getting that one. It appears people just assume the smarter ones are liberal, and that's not true. Vanderbilt is just as full of "legacy, Old South" students as any Alabama, UGA, Ole Miss, ect. fraternity

Auburn is pretty conservative

Alabama, I'd say, is right in the middle. It's definitely changed a lot in the last 15 years

Hold on, I'm gonna look up 2012 presidential election results for all 14 counties...will take a while.

Do keep in mind students can't vote outside of their registered precincts

Yeah but as far as public image is concerned, the prototypical Ole Miss student is the wealthy white male who's lived their entire life completely oblivious to the culture that enables their privilege. This is a problem at both Mississippi schools, but it's not really a part of our image.

Not scientific, just curious.

well the princeston review ranking will come out in a few weeks, maybe that will settle this

And yeah this isn't going to be accurate at all. I would imagine East Baton Rouge parish's vast urban population way outnumbered students on voting for Barack.

What is the most liberal SEC school?
Thats easy. What school has the best academics? Vandy. That is your most liberal school. Generally speaking, the better educated the more open minded and liberal. (A&M would be the exception)
GA and FL are probably next.
I would guess UT, Mizzu and UK are in the next group because of their locations and their states.
Lump the rest together.

Please share with us what makes you think liberals are open minded?
There is statistical evidence for years spent in academia and liberal ness though.

Trust me, its not a good indication. By and large, if college kids vote it's at home. Some will change registration, but few do.
You also can't compare a large city like Nashville to a small town like Starkville. Too many variables.
Just trying to save you a little time.

In my experience, the UGA student body and Athens community is surprisingly liberal

I'd imagine most SEC school counties go blue in most elections, aside from probably A&M and State. Higher populations in somewhat urban areas.
