Maybe if you weren’t constantly a douche canoe it wouldn’t have to be pointed out on a regulsr basis.

You’re a piece of shite and nobody likes you.

This board wants to nitpick Brian Kelly but can't actually name anyone who would've been a better hire.
Malzhan and McElwain's Year 1 records show it takes a lot longer than 1 season to see if it is a good hire, IMO. Also, Smart and Saban's Year 1 records show that a single season of results is not a large enough sample size.

If the most success BK has during his career at LSU is this season, would you think Kelly was a good hire?

Makes you wonder who they're trying to convince that Kelly "sucks."

He’s among the winningest coaches in all of college football, and won the SEC West, one of college football’s toughest divisions, in year 1 at LSU. And they’re trying even harder to convince themselves. It’s really bizarre.

Nope.

But Kelly has improved every program he's coached from year 1 onward so I have no reason to think he won't do the same at LSU.

Which makes comments like this hilarious:

And LSU fans are excited about hiring the coach of a perpetually overrated team.

Makes perfect sense.

That’s probably it and unfortunately that didn’t mean much this year.

Bama fans are so numb to winning that a loss that kept them out of the playoffs is no big deal.

That can't be much fun.

Then why does this thread exist? I mean I agree with your statement, as do most LSU fans. Some version of this thread is recycled every couple of days. It’s dumb

That is the first quantitive fact you've stated in this thread.

The sentiment seems to be that LSU fans shouldn't be excited about Brian Kelly because he's never won a NY6 bowl before.

Never mind that he accomplished more in year 1 at LSU than he ever accomplished in year 1 anywhere else.

Never mind that he has more access to better facilities, resources, and talent than ever before.

Never mind that he was basically the best hire that LSU could possibly make.

LSU fans shouldn't be excited just because this board says so.

It just seems like a lot of folks are worried deep down that Brian Kelly may be better than they expected him to be.

As Josh Pate said, there's a lot of nervous energy around the SEC in regards to Brian Kelly.

I mean we basically went from "Brian Kelly will be lucky to win 6 games this year" to "Brian Kelly got his arse beat by #1 Georgia in the conference championship game, see, we told you he sucks."

And the 2023 class hasn't even reached Early Signing Day so no one knows how that will actually fall out.

Better than LSU is my guess

I think the sentiment on here is no fan base should ever be excited about anything.

First tell us the biggest FBS win of Nick Saban, Les Miles and Ed Orgeron before they became the HC at LSU.

First, you tell us which one of those guys took a step DOWN in national profile to take the LSU job.

These aren't apples to apples comparisons. Those guys were working their way up. Kelly was running from the hot seat. Yes, the media pretended it was "surprise move" that "stunned" ND.
But that was just leftist media thinking they were dunking on Amy Coney Barrett's alma mater.
Read the comments on all those stories. They were sick of BK. He wasn't a steal for LSU. They paid out the arse for a wash-up.

The way I've read it...
Brian Kelly lost at Notre Dame because of his recruiting.

When challenged about BKs recruiting future at LSU...
Brian Kelly will have the best class in LSU history (despite no evidence. And Notre Dame crushing it in the 2023 class).

The rest of college football sees Kelly losing at LSU because his talent won't be much better than at ND.

Right Kelly was on the hot seat after an 11-1 season and a CFP appearance the season prior.

I don’t know why some of you try to convince yourselves of idiotic things to shitpost more on the internet

Kirby got the dog shite beat out of him by Ed O twice. That tells me anything is possible.
