Helps him on all things DE...

Pyburn has experience

Pyburn shares experience

Carpenter learns.

I wonder if any of our other young DEs can learn from Pyburn, or if only Carpenter will benefit.

Fong saying we’re the pick as of right now.

But, it's fluid, right?
In no particular order...

Hiring Jimbo
Dameyune Craig
Those cups
The game that led to the fricking cups
Jimbo's nephew

I didn't have much animosity at all toward them before 2018.

yea he just about made his prediction worthless with that comment

Naw. With both recruits and journalists, you have to watch what they do not what they say. They say a bunch of shite, but their actions are much more telling about their intentions.

Those guys don't really change their predictions lightly.

Nope, '24. He had literally just signed a couple weeks ago, and now he's out.

Wow. Crazy. I wonder why he couldn't just get a release. Early enrollee and school started already?

Class of '24

'23, right?

shopped him around in high school. It’s how he landed at Neville. Mom got a house in Monroe. Sadly, she’s running things.

What kind of person is so obsessed with winning high school football games that they would buy/rent a house for a family just so the kid could play football for a certain high school?

Y'all can point the finger at the mom and say she's the problem for "shopping" the kid, but it's insane to me that there are "buyers" out there for high school athletes.

There are obviously people willing to pay for the services of high school athletes, so why shouldn't a family consider improving their situation for a few years? I don't know the specifics of their situation, but I can't blame anyone for taking advantages of opportunities to better their families.

Yeah, you can tell by all those head coaching championships and wins against Bama.

Are you saying Jimbo is a better coach because he won a championship 10 years ago and beat Alabama one time?

Kiffin is a much better coach than Jimbo

I'd say more disturbing.

Of course you would.

80% of the top 50 2025 DL recruits are uncommitted.

This thread is idiotic panic mongering.

How does Jefferson not have one more year?

He’s played 4 full seasons and a redshirt, but should still have the free Covid year.

His "redshirt" year was his Covid year. He's played in more than 4 games in 5 different seasons.

2019 - 11 Games (FR)
2020 - 6 Games (rsFR - Covid)
2021 - 13 Games (So)
2022 - 12 Games (Jr)
2023 - 13 Games (Sr)

Once again, I believe there is every indication he will NOT count against the 85 limit BECAUSE he is the son of an LSU system employee and will get most if not all of his college expense paid for.

It doesn't really work this way. He's a recruited athlete and will likely count against the 85 no matter how his enrollment is paid.

There are NCAA rules concerning counters that prevent teams from getting around signing and scholarship limits like this.

re: Alabama WR Shazz Preston Portal

He's probably not anyone I would target this time around. We've got a ton of young WRs with little to no experience. The last time I looked, I think we had like 12 WRs due to come back next season.

The schools can also request medical records.

Right, but he had a thigh bruise, not some major knee reconstruction.

There are no signing limits anymore and this is a really talented player. If NIL weren't a factor, there's no reason any of these teams would be backing off even if there were legitimate injury concerns. To me, this screams NIL and handlers/agents turning teams off with demands.
quote:

This ain’t the NFL. He’s not visiting with teams and getting physicals ??

Exactly
quote:

Then what is it?

My guess is that his NIL demands are out of whack with his production and overall availability and he's mad about it and blaming the A&M medical staff for his nagging injuries.

I do not think he's got some major injury that's causing teams to back off or that he's now homeless/stuck in the portal. He's looking for a big payday and the offers are underwhelming him.
quote:

It appears he suffered an injury at A&M, now is in the portal and homeless

I don't think this is what's going on here.
He tweeted this today as well. Doesn't look like a commitment, guys. He's just retweeting graphics from schools recruiting him

this a legit commitment?

I don't think this is a legit commitment. He's retweeting graphics from schools recruiting him. He tweeted out a Tennessee one this morning as well.
