I noticed no LSU fans have anything to say about Freeman’s class this year. I thought it was impossible to recruit there?

Y’all quit arguing with this stupid pretentious douche bag.

Except the vast majority of the 2022 Notre Dame class committed to Notre Dame while Kelly was the head coach

I think Freeman’s impressive 2023 class (which LSU fans still won’t acknowledge for some reason) and his retention of most of the 2022 class proves those players committed more for Freeman anyway. Ever since he’s been on staff their recruiting has shot up.

They were a 10-15 rank team under Kelly

Under Freeman they are looking like Top 5

So Notre Dame (and their lack of skill position talent, according to you) was overrated when Notre Dame beat #23 LSU in 2014 and they were overrated when they beat #17 LSU in 2017.

At least be consistent...

Yes.

Notre Dame is consistently overrated by the media, especially when they have 1 loss or less in the regular season.

True. And Freeman was a damn good DC. LSU wanted him bad, instead we got Pelini lmao

Like I said, perhaps Freeman is simply a better recruiter than Kelly.

Which would make sense with why Kelly came to LSU, a program with more resources and a more compact recruiting region.

I mean he's said as much himself.

I do think LSU will finish higher than ND in the recruiting rankings this year, though.

Still, an impressive class for Freeman.

And LSU fans are excited about hiring the coach of a perpetually overrated team.

Makes perfect sense.

Also, these guys won their SEC Division in Year 1:

Hell, both even even lost to Jimbo in Year 1 as well.

Possibly.

On3 currently has LSU one spot behind Notre Dame, players moving up and down could easily sway that.

We likely get Toviano tomorrow, hopefully Desmond Ricks next Thursday. Harbor is a possibility but I wouldn’t count on it.

We should pass ND and finish top 5 fairly easily.

He's a good coach.

Who would've been a better hire?

This always cracks me up.

This board wants to nitpick Brian Kelly but can't actually name anyone who would've been a better hire.

Makes you wonder who they're trying to convince that Kelly "sucks."
