Poor scout and the worst roster manager in college football. He will fail at any school that is not loaded with resources.

Nick Saban is the best coach ever in college football and Gus Malzahn beat him 3 times in 8 games. He beat Saban at Alabama more than any coach ever has. I'm glad he's gone.

Then why on earth would you even consider Gus Malzahn?
That alone says volumes!

So why don’t you list UCF’s frenzied bevy of applicants to date? I don’t recall hearing anything about UCF recently...except for them losing their marquee HC to a bottom tier SEC program that’s about to go on probation.

I think Gus would do well there. I'm sorry that he chose not to evolve or grow at Auburn. Maybe he needs a change of scenery and a new start. I wish him well.

He always seemed like a good coach to me. I never understood why he was always in the hot seat because Auburn always had good teams under Gus.

Having said that, it did seem like Auburn really took a step back this year and with a poor recruiting class it seemed like Auburn was heading in the wrong direction.

So I understand wanting g to make a change. I do not understand hiring a Boise State coach who is less accomplished than Gus to take his place though. Harsin just seems like a worse version of what you just got rid of.

He isn’t though. He’s much more experienced than Gus when we hired him.
I don’t think Gus and Harsin are really anything alike aside from both coaching a year at Arkansas state. He’s an accomplished coach with a good record. The only real knock on him was where he has been coaching but he’s been good there. I don’t think he’s a flash in the pan with a novelty offense that was figured out after a couple of years.

Next to Kirby he was the least Luke able head coach in the sec. I don’t k ow why I just never liked him. I liked Tuberville more than Gus and Tuberville was hell on Alabama. I just never care for Gus.
