The change of offense with Enos was a disaster.

I see you mentioned the O line trouble as being the key piece here, but I was always under the impression he was a pretty good OC. I don't follow the Hogs as closely as LSU, so maybe that has changed

Enos is known as a good OC but Bert didn't have the type of players needed for Enos' offense.

Bert stated in his press conference after the MSU loss that injuries and the SEC schedule were the reasons for this season's failure. As if no other team in the conference has these issues.

In a nutshell, recruiting.
Had a good plan, tried to build it the right way.
Just couldn't recruit enough good linemen to make it work.
If he had SEC level O and D lines this year, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I checked out his recruiting and it wasn't terrible nationally, but was always ranked very low in the SEC. Usually in the top 30 nationally but 10th or worse in the SEC.

Well, many people substitute food for some other need in their lives.

Oh, you probably meant his failure as a coach.

Pittman quit on the job, which was ultimately Bielema's downfall. Nothing in his offense works without a solid O line, and Pittman's departure has us converting guys from the D and the like.

I think Beilema's ego had him thinking he could handle it all, and field a competitive team without pulling talent from Texas, and even Oklahoma.

I think his S&C guy didn't help anything, but that could have just been Bielema's philosophy showing through. We took athletic RB's and gave them asses like linemen, bragging about them squatting ridiculous weight. In a year ir two, they ran like lineman.

We had some decent skill players under Bielema, but putting them to use is impossible when the QB doesn't have time for a 3 step drop.

In the year or two where the offense was good, the defense was atrocious. Ten yard cushions on 3rd or 4th and 2 or 3, cornerbacks who couldn't cover, constant lack of SEC caliber linebackers, and run stopping interior lineman.

So, an all around shitshow. Bielema wasn't the guy everyone, including most of you, thought he was after season 3.

Failure to evaluate, recruit, and/or develop offensive and defensive linemen.

Can't run a basic power offense that relies on overpowering at the point of attack and beating opponents one on one when you are in the lower 3rd in the conference as far as talent goes.

Lousy coaching and our strength and conditioning coach is the worst in the SEC.

This is the group that bulked Alex Collins up to 230. He's down to 205 in the NFL now and has found his speed again.

I remember the thing about Pittman. He was one of the only coaches not under some type no compete clause, right?

So did he quit when he learned he had a new position?

Because that Oline has been putrid. I felt sorry for Allen the last two years --- I think your line broke his spirit and his body.

A red meat, high cholesterol, empty carbs filled diet coupled with a lack of cardio ... wait, I thought you meant pending, future coronary failure.

Are there are any rumors pertaining to Enos? Any potential landing spots?

Missing on good recruits and not able to coach up 3 star players.

Similar to Mizzou, but Mizzou are making 3 star players better.

Yeah, I think he was the last assistant under Bielema without one. Pittman quit on us when Chaney was pushed out. At least that's what I believe. His replacement hasn't impressed either. Skipper and Ragnow should have gotten him over the hump a little, but his lines got pushed around by Coastal Carolina. Four freshmen and a sophomore. No excuse.

Gus, maybe.

But we couldn't care less about Odom.
