‘83 Egg Bowl- Immaculate Deflection
I was a Junior at Ole Miss. me and a couple of frat brothers got in a fight with some State guys in the stands. It was just a dust up at best. Nobody got kicked out and we all shook hands and called a truce! Those were different times.
I was drunk as hell, and don’t remember if it was stormy or just super windy. The fight kind of sobered me up a little and the kick wasn’t long after that. We all thought at first that the kick must of been blocked. It was hard to tell what happened from the stands. But, we sure celebrated!

Auburn at LSU with Malzhon first yr HC. It was a downpour and Gus outsmarted himself and tried to run that HUNH offense in the rain. LSU hung on to win despite Auburn running a 100 off snaps. Late in the game LSU making a goal ine stand I remember Ego Ferguson and Freak Johnson on their knees trowing up on the LOS.
More importantly my wife got drenched and swore she would never come to another LSU game! Hence the beginning of the lifetime yardpass for me still in force today!
Only game Auburn lost that yr until the NCG

A Louisville game against Florida State. It was played in a tropical system. I was a kid then, but I remember thinking it would be fun.

I was at the 2009 Auburn West Virginia game. The game kickoff was delayed so there wasn't a lot of rain during the game, but the downpour before the game was crazy. If I remember correctly, there was more than 3 1/2 inches of rain in about 45 minutes.

1984 Bama vs LSU @ Legion Field. There was a tornado warning in Birmingham, and just crazy weather, but the game never stopped, and we Tiger fans stayed till the end to watch the 2nd of 4 straight away victories against the Tide, 16-14.

quote:
1984 #1 Texas vs #3/4 Oklahoma. Rain soaked game ending in 15-15 tie.
That game is one of three games that don't sit well with OU fans.
Texas 1984
Texas Tech 2005
Oregon 2006.
But the Texas 1984 sticks out because part of the reason that the ref didn't give OU the INT in the end zone is because of the rain. The OU guy who intercepted the ball slide a good 15-20 feet on out of bounds after he caught the ball.
That game game might as well have been played on a slip and slide in somebody's backyard. It was ridiculous. Guys on both teams slipping down and sliding all over the place.
