Obviously you don't know what pressure is. Tua made 2 critical TD throws- one on 4th down and the 2 & 26. He can handle pressure.

What you Barners & everyone else needs to worry about is that backup at RB that Saban is fixing unleash. You remember the guy that ground UGA's defense into powder in the 4th quarter.

The play was made by the WR getting open. The play Tua made was a 15 yard sack that put it at that 26 to go.

His numbers under pressure (down by 8 or more) is 52% completions, 96 QBR, 1 to 1 TD to Int ratio. Even tied or losing his numbers are only 58% with a 3:1 TD to Int ratio. Hurts is 60% with a 5:0 TD to Int ratio. That's not even counting the ability to run hurts has over him. But we will see soon.

BTW Tua put up 26 points in 1 half against UGA. Choke on that.

I don't think people can, nor want to grasp that. The fact is with Tua we could've blown out Clemson and Georgia last year.
That's bama running right through a top 5 defense last year like a hot knife through butter with 6 true freshmen on the field.

Regardless of the situation last year, our offense faced no resistence whatsover when Tua was out there. Whether it was Georgia or Vanderbilt, nobody was successful in slowing down the Tua train at all

I thought we were holding out for Fromm transfer after Fields wins Heisman?

After reading through all of the minutiae & comments on the Tua vs Hurts stats in this thread, it appears that Auburn fans would not be in favor of taking Tua if Saban decided to go with Hurts this fall and Tua opted to transfer to another school??

Not so sure, I think it all depends what happens in August. If Tua doesn't earn the starting job for whatever reason, does Tua tranfer ? If he does transfer, does little brother go elsewhere ? Bear IV doesn't have SEC talent at this point, eventhough some have him as a 4-star. That would leave the "A-Day All-American" as the leader.

You would give two pairs of your moms best panties for Tua to transfer.

He ain’t going anywhere.

I would then have zero angst playing auburn. We could sell out on the run. Aubies offense is good when the qb is a true dual threat. Hurts only excels at running.
We could cover every receiver one on one and bring the heat and crowd the line. He wouldn't complete but maybe 6 or 7 passes. We would beat them like we did in 11 and 12 when they had no passer.
If tua plays against aubie last year, aubie loses. If he played the whole Georgia game, it is a 14-17 point Bama win.

He threw into triple coverage three times in the second half against UGA. They just shite all over themselves or the Bama fans would be talking about how great Hurts will be this year. Hurts was the only reason the game was only 12 points.

Was it the 0 points or the fact all but 1 drive ended after 4 snaps?

and only getting 3 yards a carry on 3rd down instead of 5 like Hurts in the first half while the other team is still trying.

vs P5 opponents
Hurts: 4.3 ypc
Tua: 5.8 ypc

There was a #2 WR that stepped up.

Our #2 receiver last year was running back Bo Scarborough.

Yea, if I'm auburn I want to see hurts too. Especially on plays like where we have 3rd and 2 and hurts scrambles right and just runs out of bounds, doesn't try to get the first, isn't even hit.....and loses 5 yards

Or, two plays in a row where he isn't ready for the snap and we go from 2nd and 4 to 4th and 15 because he isn't fgn paying attention. When your own teammates are getting in your face all the 2nd half, u know u have a great qb giving it his all.

Hell yea, I'd want to see him. He was basically playing for u anyway.

Maybe neither one is great. But it's also funny how Bama defended him til they wanted Tua and now he sucks. It goes both ways.

Hurts lost 2 games in 2 years at QB. Alabama now has a BETTER QB, so he'll probably start instead. If he does and Hurts leaves (whether this year or next), Alabama will still be loaded at QB AND overall.
It's really not hard to understand...this type of thing has been going on in Tuscaloosa for ten years!....live with it.

I can see that Auburn fans have actually convinced themselves that Tua is nothing special and that we are just making shite up about Jalen Hurts. I thought you guys have just been trolling us. I really did.

You guys are about to become disappointed as frick. Listen to Gary Danielson talk about it even though it is sugar coated. It sucks for you and it is gonna be tough when you come to terms with it but Jalen Hurts was a terrible quarterback. We won on defense and five star running backs.

We are telling you the truth brothers. Jalen was terrible and Tua is about to rewrite our passing records and it isn't gonna be fair to you guys. You have an elite defense and an elite quarterback of your own right now. This wasn't supposed to happen. We were already tough to beat without a passing game.

Now you are fricked aubie. You are so fricked.

No, Auburn fans are just amazed how Bama Fans are so willing to throw a player under the bus that lead them to back to back National Invitational Playoff Tournament Championship Game apperances. For a player who was 14-24 and could have (should have) had three interceptions if not for the dysfunctional UGA Secondary. There was a reason why Saban didn't play Tua all year, but we now know that Saban was fricked up according to Bama Fans. And we make fun of LSU every year because they claim they found the "next great thing".

No. They haven't convinced themselves but some of them are trying like hell to do so.

After the way Jalen Hurts played against Auburn last year, you can't blame them for preferring to play Hurts.
