Clemson at home beat a similar South Carolina team at the end of last year 56-35. It was a 7-point game at halftime and a 14-point game in the 4th quarter. Chill.

We will continue to criticize Murphy I’m sure, but he put Sides in the lead off spot and she came thru, and everyone said pull Fouts but he stuck with her for the final 6 outs. He pushed the right buttons.

Yes, but they often only have 1 year of eligibility. Even if they do have 2, who wants to sit a year and then compete with 3 other guys for the job?

Not sure “fizzle out” is the right way to describe it. Maybe if we were losing in regionals every year, or even supers. But Murphy has a great track record of getting to the CWS and winning at least a game or two there. Coming in 5th place in a 64 team tournament is pretty damn good.

Oats just made back to back tournaments, beat the dog shite out of Arizona and Arizona State, and went 32-4. Why do you think he’s any worse than Buzz or Pearl?

While I agree, this guy wiped the floor of a 5* team with a team way less talented than ours. I’m not expecting a huge run or anything in year 1, but he doesn’t need top recruits to win.

This is what I don't get. Matta was a Twitter rumor...why are we made at that? Forbes has 1 NCAAT and just got ousted in the first round of the CBI by Green Bay...we want him over this?
Oats is an awesome coach. I was there last year when they stomped Ayton and Arizona in the NCAA tournament and it was incredible. His team was as likeable as can be, they score tons of points, he recruits well, and most importantly, the program at Buffalo is getting better the longer he stays there. I'm stoked.

Are you asking why it would be worse to be automatically disqualified from the tournament, pay fines, lose scholarships, and tarnish your reputation instead of hiring a quality coach the likes of Prohm, Kermit Davis, McMahon, etc?

Road series at current #5, #6, #8, #9 and #18. Home against #1, #13, #14, #19, and #22.
