Kiffin does have a good thing going at OM. Not only does the team look good, it seems that he has the backing of the fans, the administration, and the boosters.

He would be great at Florida but not sure that he has the gravitas to clean house (like Saban did at Alabama) of all of the boosters and admins who want to have a say in the football program and who are currently f*cking up what should be a perennial top 10 program.

Where did you see/read that he was bringing his entire staff?

If I was to come in and try to take the Alabama job, I wouldn’t want the old GOAT sticking too close and meddling. His statements in his interview with Rece Davis probably would have driven me away.

On the flip side, might be ok to have the "old GOAT" stick around for fundraising and help managing the boosters.

None of us have any idea how well he'll do long term at Bama, but I'm pretty comfortable laying even money that he could whip your arse without breaking a sweat.

ok, this made me laugh
This is the only job I’m worried about Sark leaving.. lord have mercy on my liver.

this made me laugh
Kiffen's endgame is the NFL. He wants the biggest spotlight.
Going out to The Cliffs on a boring Sunday afternoon then drinking and jumping
One of my children went to UK. I was expecting a beautiful, historic campus. There ARE many beautiful areas at Kentucky. But the UK powers that be evidently went all in on the "Brutalist" architecture movement in the 1950's. It's not a bad thing, just not the most welcoming style. However, the landscaping at UK is great, artful, well maintained & does a nice job of softening the less attractive buildings and highlighting the best parts of the campus.
(just using your post as a jump off for my reply...)

Whether or not you think that masks and social distancing is a deterrent to the virus, why not err on the side of caution? The scientific information on the Covid virus changes almost daily as more is learned.

You are not a pussy if you wear a mask in public or practice social distancing. You are just being respectful of others who may be at risk and of the health care workers who are having to deal with the huge influx of Covid patients. It's a not political, it's just smart.

Wearing a mask is not a hardship--you just strap it on and go. And what if making this simple choice would save just one life, prevent another lock down in your community, keep your favorite restaurants & bars from having to close down again, bring sports back?

You don't "want it getting out" but post this on a message board? I think you got it out...

It all boils down to our schedule

Not going to be much better this year.

I think our 2020 schedule is going to look a lot better than the 2019 both to the public & to the selection committee.

USC might not could actually beat Duke in reality, but the name recognition is much better.

Georgia rotates onto our schedule.

Tennessee (game at TN) looks to be improving from being a joke to being a bit competitive.

Mike Leach is at Mississippi State. Don't think he will do much but will be seen as a upgrade.

We will be playing the defending National Champs in their stadium.

generational talent

I don't think people know what the frick these words mean since we seem to have like 3 of them every year.

Agree 100% and this topic needs a separate thread dedicated as to what constitutes a generational talent.

Burrow is a great kid/player/role model. I think there are a lot of response threads to Tua coming back/Bama fans' expectations of Tua and just Tua in general.

The SEC happened to have a couple of high character, hugely talented, nationally recognized young men playing in the most high profile position this year. One won out, the other had a disappointing season. Everyone wants to compare them here, then it all devolves into shite talk. We were all lucky to see two great talents play in our conference in one year.

Landon Collins, Josh Jacobs returning to Bama also.

Can we all just agree that there is way too much time this year between the CFB playoffs and the National Championship Game...
