frick that. I went in 2011. That place was a powder keg. People were just trying to start shite and look for a fight pregame and tailgating. That place was dangerous after a win. Very, very uneasy feeling. We hightailed it the hell out of there to Pittsburgh.

Oklahoma State. Underrated, Passionate fanbase, feels more SEC than Oklahoma.

Stillwater is a fantastic college town.

The fanbase has a serious case of "little brother syndrome" with a never-ending sense of doom.

WV brings nothing to the table - no more TV sets and no more recruiting exposure. VT on the other hand does both in bringing the DC market to the SEC. Get one from NC and one from Virginia and I think the SEC is perfect. The only program that could enhance the conference that is not aligned solidly is ND and most of us would prefer that did not happen./..

West Virginia's application to the SEC

frick those guys. Went to Morgantown in 2011. Worst fanbase in CFB. I know LSU gets a bad rap but those motherfrickers are terrible. Its a gauntlet of rickets infested hillbillies to get into their stadium. They pulled an LSU fan out of his car and beat him half to death after the game. He was in ICU in Morgantown for 3 weeks after.

In the 4th quarter of the game a heavy fog rolled in and it looked like a movie scene from the fog.

I'll never understand the WV hype, they add nothing. Their stadium is 50% full most games

Same thing would happen to any SEC school if they dropped down to being average at best and were suddenly playing a schedule against schools that aren’t traditional rivals and are too far to drive to see.

Even Bama fans would lose interest if they were averaging 7 wins a year w/a schedule that mostly consisted of Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, and Rutgers. That’s essentially what happened to WVU.

That's awesome. And our AD's banned playing Neck or Dixieland Delight because they're worried about upsetting old people and kids.

I was just at their biggest rivalry game that hasn’t happened in like 10 years.

It was a relatively flat atmosphere and the kids were more excited to watch their NFL teams. They’re also all mostly from DC, Maryland, and New Jersey.

Application: DENIED.

So we ended your seasons in football, basketball and soybean production last year.

Good to know.

WVU fans are trash, as others have already noted. They don’t belong in the SEC, and they are not remotely southern.

The only fans they remotely could be compared to are LSU fans, but LSU fans, while amoral, are mostly hospitable folks.

You shoulda partied w us. I had a great time there in 2011, decked out in the Purple & Gold. Even rode the monorail down to the Student Union. Sure..they gave me nine kinds of hell...but all in good fun. Ended up having a hoot of a ride back to the stadium w a bunch of WVU students who gave us moonshine and other illegal stuff. Had a blast there. would love to go to regular SEC games in Morganhole.

OSU is more like Iowa State than it is any SEC school, whereas OU is basically a 50/50 combination of Nebraska and Bama. So your feelings are incorrect.

You do know Morgantown is closer to DC than Blacksburg right? Plenty of Mountaineers in DC, Pittsburgh and Philly
