Well, how did your team play vs your expectations week 1?

Obviously LSU outperformed everyone’s expectations but I wouldn’t be surprised if Clemson struggles to get bowl eligible. Im gunna temper my excitement until sec play.

My biggest takeaway was the fact that our coaches were still very active until the final whistle. We haven’t had that in a few years.

I expected a change. I got groundhog day. Still too early to say much but I expect a painful season.

Getting off to a 1-0 start no matter how you do it is great though. Now they have game film to work on

I am used to Oklahoma's slow starts every season and making lesser teams look better than they are up to a point before pulling out a win.

UTEP had two first quarter drives and one in the third that got into FG range, none of which their kicker could convert so that was 9 points left on the field.

The offense looked better than last season and the defense did what we expected.

OU D had a shaky start in the first quarter but pulled through. I think the offense should’ve scored 2-3 more TDs. I’ll take 51-0 but I’m just not entirely sure on OU just yet. Georgia will be a good measuring stick where OU stands.

I was happy about watching a team that is being coached and prepared for game. Timing between QB and receivers will improve. Second string QB got game too

Offense - exceeded expectations. Not a good opponenet but UF played very clean and the concepst should will work against SEC teams

Defense - they got some work to do. FAU has a good offense but I was very disappointed with the lack of pressure and push from the defensive line. They were expected to be the strength of the defense.

OU will always have a good team as long as Venables is there. Knowing your defense is going to show up and be coached well is a good feeling. It’s starting to look more and more like he was the constant denominator at Clemson when they were good.

Thought we had a QB but he looked the same as what we are used too. The OLine was a mess but it was a mix and match new line. A win is still a win.

Bama's O-line looks about the same.

Running backs looked pretty good.

Ryan Williams is a walking liability.

Ryan Grubb is still our OC unfortunately...

Even vs FAU, i didnt expect our offense with a new OC and QB to put up over 60 for 600 plus yards in Week 1
So for that Im

I’m struggling today though. I got home around 1:30 last night bc of the late start

It has been years since I’ve seen 1:30am

Granted, UGA was playing an FCS team, but it was impressive. Execution was sharp. I think we are in the top six teams, and any of the top six could win the natty.

OKST was abysmal. Stopped on fourth down four times and four turnovers... I thought line play would be the key to the season, but the entire offense was inept, and play calling was a weakness when it should have been a strength. Then again, it's hard to call plays when your OL can't move Tulsa off the line.

Offense was about what I was expecting, but we also got all the breaks and although the numbers were impressive, some of it was individual talent as we were not really sharp.

Defense was sub par. I will give them a little bit of a break because the offense we played was well coached and a really tough task for game 1 of year 1.

I think I am right for about an 8-4 season, although it could be worse because the SEC is looking really good right out of the chute this year. Some really good teams are going to have some losses.

A dominating win that still felt like a loss because of the slow start

But the defense looked good, something like 79 yds total allowed? No points? I’ll take it even against a cupcake that’s some good play

Texas scored on each offensive play other than one turnover, so pretty good. Our defense only gave up one score, so also good.

Above and beyond. All the issues we had last year didn't show up in week1.

Weak opponent so ya know, it might all collapse, but after week 1 its a good feeling to beat a team how you should and put up offense.
