A&M’s defense held Missouri State to 67 yards of offense, the least amount of yards given up by an A&M defense in at least the last 30 years.

Yes, it was a CUSA team, so I’m not going to uncork any champagne. But that’s a dominant stat for 4 quarters of football.

Thought Gunner looked good. Frazier looked good. Defense is filled 2 deep with future pros.

#10 Williams for UGA is gonna be an issue for people.

Was honestly disappointed/concerned until the coaches stopped whatever hyper conservative nonsense they were trying throughout most of the first half. After they opened it up a bit (and they stayed super vanilla) the offense really shined.

Pass rush was better than expected. Faizon was better than expected. The rest -- competition was too weak to really get a feel for.

Our opponent wasn’t great but we executed at a high level and both lines looked really good. We also played the whole roster.

So I’m good with that.

Texas scored on each offensive play other than one turnover, so pretty good. Our defense only gave up one score, so also good.

Your offense scored on each play? Gahdamn son

Better than I expected in the run game. Defense was very good.

I did not expect us to make so many unforced mistakes.

Glad they happened in Game 1 though.

I expected RCW to still have the dropsies. It's incredibly rare at the college level for players to improve ESP. now in the NIL/TP era. So I was not surprised. I was surprised the good RCW did was as good as it was: leading the game in yards receiving and his punt returns were surprisingly solid.

I hope Grubb finds an NFL job after this season though. His play calling is still terrible and I do not expect that to change. He's the worst OC we've had since Arians.

DeBoer is the best we can do for now. We wiffed on Kiffin and Cignetti but we were never going to pursue Kiffin no matter what. Too much bad blood between him and the administration. I am satisfied for now that DeBoer will keep Bama at above average. I don't expect much out of him except for a few playoff appearances.

The first quarter and a half were really weird yesterday. No tempo and terrible Oline play. However, it seems like that changed, and then they settled in and looked like a classic Heupel team.

Don't think Faizon could've played any better. Looking forward to next week.

Offense met expectations. The run blocking was the priority, and they handled that well. Need to improve communication in pass blocking.

Defense exceeded expectations. They looked focused. It was a game with a talent advantage, but they didn’t play down to the competition.
