Vegas made a list of the best "local food" cities? Pray tell what would be considered "local food" in Las Vegas? It is an ~80 year old watered spot in the desert. Nothing in its entire existence is local, especially any type of local food. Unless you consider the king crab legs on the comped buffet "local".
EDIT
Oh, and welcome to the SEC. The logo choice is easy and its this one. Elvis Peacock is my favorite non-LSU player in history. Watching He, Sims, and Lott run the triple option and beat someone by 50 while losing 8 fumbles and completing 2 passes on 5 attempts was a thing of beauty.

2024 should see most of that. You know when it supposedly happens.

Now that we have OU and Texas can we kick out Mizzou and Aggie and get some upgrades?

happy for yall.
The road games are amazing and you need to make an effort to hit all of the campuses up. It will feel like a bowl game every week... I mean that you are about to see TRUE fandom is (fantatics) when visiting.
and I hope you're a baseball fan; while the league is strong in football it is seriously another level in baseball.
good post and welcome!

In the realignment arms race, Texas, OU, and the SEC all hit a grand slam.
Prior to the addition of my school plus the land thieves the biggest brands in college athletics that weren’t already in the SEC or B1G were ( in order)
Texas
Notre Dame
USC
Oklahoma
Clemson
Florida State
The SEC picked up two of these and the B1G got one.
But from the Texas OU perspective our deal is sooo much better than USCs just due to geography. I bet USC ends up eliminating some programs in the future because of travel expense for non-revenue sports. Of course, they have to eliminate an equal number of men’s scholarships as women’s. I think they’ll regret the move. Our move is the best possible outcome for us and our meth-head neighbors to the north.

Every game will finally matter instead of trying to say Iowa state was a great game every year. Even if some of your teams are not as good as Iowa state the sheer volume of fans and stadiums sizes and historical programs really excites most OU fans. Being honest most of us OU fans knew staying in the Big 12 even running it for 20 years was not as good as competing for the sec title . We were losing every head to head recruiting battle with Bama LSU UGA and even some of the smaller sec schools for certain in state kids. OU simply couldn’t be the program we are use to being in the big 12 . The sec simply got too big and the reputation was tough to overcome . Even if Bob Stoops played and beat sec teams it didn’t matter the perception was the conference was not as strong and we were not as strong . Now all that is gone and the games will get played and people will see what’s what.
My goodness, something actually relevant from MOJO. Why can't you just contribute to football more often?

nobody wants you or texas. Sorry to burst your bubble. Some may be nice to you but we don't want you.
truth is, SC is 30 years in and a real southern team and some still don't want us in. Mizzou and A&M are 10+ years in and none of us want them

They got all the regional delicacies:
Chicken fried steak
Chicken fried chicken
Chicken fried catfish
All topped with your choice of cream gravy or, for an especially local flair, ranch dressing.
Mmmm...mmmmm.....

Welcome Sooner 1984,
I personally like fanbases that bring passion to the games. I believe Oklahoma fans and Texas fans bring that, having worked around a few of them over the years.
Fanbases in the SEC bring enthusiasm to the games. Vanderbilt is a little behind in that department.
SEC fanbases like to rag on other fanbases pretty good, in case you have not noticed it.
The stadiums are larger than what you have in the big 12 and the crowds are rowdier, extra rowdy for night games.
The SEC is the villain #1 in the world of college football. Everyone takes a crack at the SEC on smack boards and talk radio. The big ten is insufferable in this regard. The ACC is just jealous, they don't try to hide it.
Now, if Sankey can get ESPN to adjust these TV contracts.

Thank you, and others for your kindness. My great grandfather was the president of the University of Georgia School of Law in the 1920's.

Welcome. Nothing better than beating any one of the rest of the bums in this conference, and nothing worse than losing to one of the rest of the bums in this conference. That's what makes the SEC so great, especially during football season.
