The good news is they get to settle it on the field in a few weeks.

All Blue Blood Final 4

Posted by Humpy go Lucky on 1/3/25 at 8:42 am
Is Penn State considered a blue blood? They are probably knocking in the door but other than them, this is the bluest blood final 4 one could dream up.

Oh, and Ohio State and Notre Dame are on Texas schedule in the coming years, while yall schedule St.Vincents school of nursing.

Texas is good but not great. We don’t really have a bonafide star on offense. Our defense has been great except for the last 2 games (which is when it matters most).

Yet here we are. If we can beat Ohio State we’ll be favored in the next game. Only 1 team finishes the season with a win that matters. How’s your team doing?
It’s Oklahoma. We changed conferences together to not interrupt our rivalry.
Texas smashed Florida, who beat LSU and old Miss. I dare fans of those teams to tell me about Texas’ soft schedule. Go ahead girls

How Texas got its schedule

The SEC elected to play an 8 game schedule this year.

The SEC decided to eliminate divisions.

The SEC scheduled each team with 3 historic rivals. For Texas that was Oklahoma, Arkansas, and 8&4. So SEC schedulers had 5 other teams out of a remaining 11 (after rivalries) from which to schedule games for each team. (Georgia, Florida and USC have out of conference rivalry games as their last game).

It is because of the rivalries that Alabama plays Tennessee and LSU.

Thats why Tennessee plays Georgia.
Thats why Florida plays Georgia.
Thats why Ole Miss plays LSU.

Did the teams in the top half of the conference really want to add Texas, who beat Alabama at their place last year and made the 4 team playoff, in addition to playing their traditional rivals (most of whom also happen to be in the top half of the conference)?

The SEC was actually looking out for its big brands by not adding Texas to their schedules (save Georgia, of course). It’s Texas rivals that haven’t pulled their weight this year and that has nothing to do with Texas. All we can do is win.

Oh, and we play all of our rivals on the road. The schedulers did Texas no favors.

Our first game next season is at Ohio State
Premature. Georgia will be favored in our game against them. Beat Georgia and we’ll deserve it.

Texas and Georgia both have work to do to get to 10/19 undefeated. Texas has Oklahoma and Georgia has Alabama. But if they both pull it off what a huge game.

All rankings at this point are a guess. We’ll know for sure on October 19th.

Georgia would be a 3 TD favor over you short horns.

Thats dumb. You’re dumb.
There’s not a thread about it on the Texas rivals site. We weren’t expecting him to be part of our class.

A couple of months ago he released a list of top schools that didn’t include Texas. People probably cared back then but they’re over it today. We can’t take everyone
72% of the production that was so awesome it got their coach fired mid season.
That’s bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.

To add insult to injury, their top 3 (per Rivals ranking) haven’t signed and are all in communication with Texas. Chances of Texas flipping any of them is better than 50%. Bussey and McKinley were both looking at LSU in addition to Texas but LSU has already inked a large class. Evans just told Steve Witfong that Texas is his dream school. TyAnthony Smith (not top 3 but a good player that Sark has wanted since the Summer)will likely flip to Texas. Maybe before the end of the day.

Some of yall are just dumb. If the same players and coaches were at LSU would they be a different team? Because of the uniform? Texas would be the best team in the SEC this year. We’ll be top 3 year in year out. Every single year. Why? Recruiting base and alumni money. You can’t pretend that away. Talk all you want. Just be prepared to get knocked down a notch.
PSA to book your rooms early. Rednecks and Euro-trash. Maybe yall can bunk up.
Spike Dykes (long time head coach at Texas Tech before Mike Leach) once said

“I left Tech for health reasons. The alumni were sick of me.”
to be 9-1 and in the running for the playoffs? Y’all seem to have emphasized beating Texas, which you did, but putting so many eggs in that basket might have cost you later in the season.

I really wish we were going to get another shot in our last big 12 championship game… because I hate having to deal with a loss to you frickers for a whole year.
