Auburn circa 2009

Currently working a new study of the same phenomenon titled “Auburn Post-2010”

Blame the two non contributor latest to join the conference schools next year when auburn cries about getting UGA and bama on the road next year. We had to go to JHS two in a row bc of that and that is what flipped the schedule.

I can promise the devastation from losing the Natty is much worse than seeing your rivals play for it all. Ultimately, AU played and beat both teams and can still recruit to that. Living through multiple national championship caliber teams that didn't get a chance to play for title, I can tell you that had AU not won it in 2010 then Auburn would have never been the same. It made 2013 a little easier but it still stings. If UGA losses to Bama and still has to hear "1980, 1980"....no amount of 5* will make that pain go away. FWIW I actually picked UGA to win it all even after AU beat them in JHS. I thought they were more equipped to make adjustments in the SECCG, more so than AU.

UGA fans were so close to being right there with us yesterday. Watching that game last night brought back some very bad emotions I had hide deep down inside me

Wow, I guess UGA really is Auburn's biggest rival. I cannot imagine ever, ever rooting for UF over any team, anywhere. Thought the Bama Auburn rivalry was the same way, but I guess not.

Who do the barners cheer for in the championship game? Do you cheer for Bama because another Bama championship is just an inevitability of life at this point or do you cheer for Georgia to help prevent strengthening what is already the biggest little brother complex in all of sports?

Zeus, this is a fricked up scenario. I feel bad for the Barn. What a dilemma.
