How much of that is Daniels?

Had another Mizzou fan say (and I agree with him) that he's got the throwing ability of Chase Daniel, and the running ability of Brad Smith. That might not mean much to some of you LSU baws, but from a Mizzou fan that's a pretty good compliment.

Its a pretty interesting facet of this upcoming game. Bama is pretty damn stout against the run, and LSU's offense has been clicking with a strong run game. How much will LSU's offense be affected if they can't run the ball?

If Bama can bottle up the running game from our backs, then it will surely put more pressure on Daniels in the passing game. The way he and the receivers have been playing this year, defenses have to cover every inch of grass, so to speak. And that has helped to open up the run game for us. So if he and the receivers are in synch, then the running game will likely open up.

Our offensive line has been playing really well this season. We haven't had an O-line like this in a while, but they are young, so who knows how they may handle the stress of a game like this.

LSU O vs. Bama D should be a great matchup.

Well, yeah. LSU's passing attack opens up the run game significantly. Not to mention that Daniels is fully capable of running it as well. I don't think the addition of Logan Diggs can be understated.

Some UGA fans who are smarter than me fear Bama more than LSU.

I don't agree.
Both teams have mobile QBs which gives every defense pause.
But LSU is so much more of a variable offense. Shut down the RBs and they can still kill you. Shut down Daniels' scrambling and you still have to deal with the RBs and him throwing from the pocket.

They really are a complete/complimentary offense.

The REALLY smart ones aren't even thinking about Bama or LSU.

He's been a really nice surprise. He didn't get many carries against Army for obvious reasons but was 2nd in the conference in rushing and 3rd in ypc heading into the game iirc. And that's with not getting a single carry against Florida State

Indeed. Use up all that hate. Let it out of your system, and don't bring it back until Ole Miss comes to town.

I expect Bama to focus on stopping Nabers and Thomas and hope the D line can hold up against the run. I think Diggs is gonna have a big game. If he doesn't, that bodes very well for Bama.

At one point last year, I thought his absolute ceiling was a poor mans Vince Young. At this point I think he might be a better passer (weaker arm but better accuracy) and not quite as good of a runner. Different eras of course would make Young a more accomplished passer and 2005 Daniels would be more of a runner.

You forget the UGA fans.
They bring the juice.

We are outscoring opponents 43-10 at home. You had your chance last year. You are going to have to wait another.

This has got to be a mistake. Bama can’t possibly be this low.

There's a shotgun triple option that has been the subject of much discussion on TR. Delayed handoff to rb/Daniels around the corner/about a dozen different twists. They've been switching up that third option almost weekly. Daniels is so dangerous turning the corner that it opens up all sorts of shite.

Sacks count against rushing yards and our QB is sacked every other play, so yes, Bama can possibly be that low.
