Most 9 win P5 teams are ranked. The bowls would be watchable and would mean more.
Why would they mean more? Because preseason rankings matter whether we want to admit it or not, and they'll be fighting for that rank in a bowl.
LSU in particular has had some major help with high preseason rankings.

Ole Miss just reached 11 wins after smacking down a very good Penn State team.
Arkansas has proven they actually give a shite about football with petrino and almost beat us and our heisman winner this year.
Saban.
UGA has their own little mini dynasty going right now.
And... We have the worst defense in the history of LSU football. And the entire team was one guy.
BK has his work cut out for him that's for damn sure.
It's a shame we don't keep Auburn because they are in a dark pit of misery right now.

Look it's rare that my Louisiana roots and Washington family get to collide, so this is fun as hell to me.
I do NOT have a source, nor am I saying they know what theyre talking about.
But grubb is a down to earth guy who talks to everyone and I had this dropped over some dinner. Thought it was cool.
Looking into it, he has an associate HC position as well.
Football isn't really taken seriously there like it is here so it's not really big news , and they expected he'd be gone at some point.
But a group of LSU suits in the pink door in Seattle is hard to miss. Need one of those LSU pins for my suits :lol:

First , Petrino being back tells you they're actually trying to get serious about winning again.
They went back to the only man in recent(ish) years that has brought them any kind of notoriety and success.
And if any of you forgot, they were one score away from many huge upsets this year. Had Bama and LSU within inches of losing.
