It wouldn’t make sense for Dart to transfer. He already used his one time use and he hasn’t graduated so he’d have to sit a year if he transferred.

Sanders has 1 year of eligibility left and only because of COVID. He can only transfer down a division and play again. Dart would also have to sit out a year if he transfers. He already used his one penalty free transfer.

Sanders can technically grad transfer in the fall if he graduates after the spring or summer sessions.
I think Dart could graduate by December and grad transfer again in the offseason.
All of that said, I think the spring game will mostly be Dart vs. Howard. Dart isn't losing the starting job. Sanders' throwing shoulder hasn't been 100% so he hasn't been full speed throwing in the spring.
From all reports, bringing Sanders and Howard in appears to have really lit a fire under Dart. He has been lights out in practice.

This dummie should of went to florida. He'll end up transferring again this time with much less options.

Lane was upfront with Howard and let him know that he likely wouldn't be starting this year. He knows he'll have his shot if Dart goes pro.

Kiffin pulled the wool over his eyes and secured his transfer, and then immediately brought in Sanders soon after.

Don’t know but I can tell you their “insiders” will all tell you he is 3rd string as of right now. Dart is going to likely be the starter. If Sanders transfers in the fall, Howard would be the #2 by default but their insiders do not expect him to play much if at all this year.
Duhhhhh…..but wrong. Insiders are saying the kid is very comparable to Matty Ice, possibly better. He is gonna sit behind Dart the incumbent and get weight up in the weight room. Likely will be him and Williams next year if Dart leaves for the NFL as expected. And Sanders will never see the field

FWIW. I have a little inside knowledge.
Kelly runs starter and backup reps during practice. 3rd guy runs scout team.
Lane runs starter and splits reps between 2 and 3.
Kelly was upfront with Howard and said he’d go into next year as Number 3 (pretty sure he did the same thing with Brennan last year). Howard wants to compete, but knows he won’t get the reps to challenge Nuss. Bad deal for him cause he does love LSU. Good deal for LSU that they have 2 quality guys.
No way Kiffin didn’t tell all these guys what was going on. Just the world College football is in right now.

He had to try where he felt he could get in the rotation.
Can’t fault him for that.

Our defense is arse, but after 20 minutes of the spring game I’m ready to put Howard as the starter

Yea he’s looked better than Dart so far. All three of the QB’s have looked decent though. Glad to have some depth at that position due to how often Jaxson Dart lowers his shoulder and runs.

They may well be, but we are running 3 plays on defense this game with no blitzing...

Look at the dumbass take from an LSU fan. I’d say I’m shocked one could be so stupid but looking at the number of upvotes, it appears intelligence and LSU do not go hand in hand.
Sanders is a senior with no additional eligibility.
Walker, if he transfers next year, would have to sit out a year due to the double transfer rule.

I know it’s vanilla defense, just saying’s don’t expect him to play this well against sec defenses live. But still like his game
