Path’s the same. If LSU beats A&M and UGA, no matter how improbable, they’ll be in.

Perhaps, though it could also lead the SEC being shut out of the playoffs.

Usc has zero defense if they make the playoff ot will be Lsu vs Oklahoma part deux.
That game last night was fun to watch, but if either team had a smell of defense they would have won

Going to be an interesting next two weeks, but I think it's a SEC Champ, BiG Champ, TCU, and a 1 loss PAC or AcC champ.

Really wanted Bama in the Orange Bowl just because it's convenient. Now, with UTk stepping on their dick, it looks like it may be the Sugar Bowl.

Thanks Vols. You unyielding prices. Except you Prof and a couple of others

All that really matters for LSU is they win out if they want in. They win out, they’re in. There is way too much respect for the SEC and rightfully so. frick the soft arse PAC 10

I hope we beat dawgs but if not I am happy how year played out. If you had told me before season we would had won the west I would had been giddy. Hell think about this we had 39 scholarship players on roster when Kelly took over. And all you other SEC fans this isn’t a dance contest.

Back in 2007 the odds were even more improbable, which is why all of the games are played.

Have to agree on TCU. They have been fun to watch. We can only do what we can do. If we win out and not make the playoffs, it would suck. But I think most LSU fans are over the moon seeing what we have done this year. Future looks bright for us.

LSU wins out they're in. It's about identifying the 4 best teams, not resume comparison. Why would LSU be considered one of the best 4 yet still have the 2 losses?

After implementing their two Freshman tackles into the starting lineup they have yet to lose in games where they have both started. They are a different team with those two bookend tackles. The ability to impose their will in the run game and protect Daniels is the key to the run they're on.

My point is Clemson has no shot.

Is that clear enough for you?

Nah, Tennessee losing big to USCe is killing LSU.

No that helps LSU, IF LSU happens to beat UGA and is 11-2 SEC Champs, there is no comparison against a 10-2 TENN team. The problem for LSU would have been if LSU beats UGA and is 11-2 SEC champs and TENN was sitting there at 11-1.

If LSU is, big if, SEC champs sitting at 11-2, then the comparisons are going to be against TCU, USC and yes Clemson. I think an 11-2 SEC champ LSU > Clemson at 12-1 ACC champ, if TCU is 13-0 BIG12, they are in, if USC is 12-1 PAC12 Champ, I think USC gets in over LSU.

I don't think most of the younger folks on this board realizes how big a brand USC is. They have been a brand since the 1920's.

It’s a binary event all based on LSU winning out. If they do the rankings fix themselves on the last weekend because that’s the only ranking that matters in the current system.

It's so simple and yet people want to debate the week to week rankings. They really don't matter as much as you think. The committee will make whole sale changes to the rankings even if teams all win out.

I don't know if LSU can beat UGA straight up. But, I think LSU's defense matches up with UGA's offense. What I don't know is how well LSU can move it against UGA's defense.

I know the line is about 2 TD's, but lets say UGA is -2 in the Turnover battle and those 2 TO's translate into points for LSU, lets say at least 10, then you are in a 1 score game in the 4th QTR and LSU can win in that situation. They have already proved it as a 13.5 underdog vs. Bama in Tiger Stadium and LSU was only +1 in the TO batter vs. Bama that night.

Daniels played elite at the QB position, which you have to have to beat teams like Bama, and now UGA, and Perkins was by far the best Defensive player on the field that night for either side.
