I've been watching LSU baseball for a long time. I can't recall ever having a player that was as big as yorke. Anybody recall any.
Here's to a great season baws.
Last time I was there, they were selling cheap LSU jerseys for 120 bucks. But you can buy a quality stitched jersey from Vietnam for 29.99
Good try, but do you actually think the negatigers would do that. That's like telling my 87 year old mom not to worry about Yellowstone super volcano blowing up. Some people you just can't change.

used to not really like baseball, but since the home runs uptick and jay johnson's brilliance, my body could NOT BE MORE ready for friday afternoon

I guess you didn't get to watch skip bertman and gorilla ball. I don't watch baseball unless it's LSU. Skip turned me into a baseball fan. The bats were so juiced back then and we had great players to get the most out of those bats.

Jay Johnson has made LSU into the monster we all loved since skip retired. Enjoy the ride.

To be fair, he only had to get 40 transfers in because he had almost 40 transfers out, which is expected with a coaching change.

I would guess typically he’d only want 15-20 portal and maybe the same HS.

I expect lane to do a lot better recruiting in the highschool ranks. If Kelly could get some blue chips as lazy as he was, Lane is going to crush it.
Blake ruffinio is really high on him. Also can't wait to see yorke rake. That's a big boy.

Iam gen x and I had my fare share of paddlings. And the paddle would have holes in it to make them faster. I doubt kids in today's world get nervous sitting in the office waiting for the principal.

Also had a six grade teacher that gave out paddles for your birthday.

But they were amateurs compared to my dad. And old pops got me prepared for all the yelling in boot camp.
What a fun interview. Really enjoyed that, great job Matt.
I just rewatched miracle on ice after watching the documentary. That movie had so much detail that matched the doc. Kurt Russell did a great job playing Herb Brooks.

Bird's issue would be his conditioning/body. Mid 90s Jordan has a modern NBA body because he was a pioneer in that area. Bird had a soft 80s body.

Players back then said he was a slow white boy before they saw him play. Players now need two weeks off for a hang nail. He would absolutely crush it today. And anyone that's says different never watched basketball in the 80's and 90's. The game today is so boring. I feel really bad for the generation today that didn't get to see the game back then.
Just finished it and was a great watch. I was thinking about how old those guys looked. And then iam like, shite their only tens years older then me.

Apparently, it's challenging to make a point without throwing the old staff under the bus. We understand they underachieved, but there's no need to mention them in every single thread. Sheesh!

Damn coach Kelly. Instead of looking on this site, go enjoy your millions that you scammed from LSU.

Seriously. WTF was BK doing while he was here. What Kiffin is doing is unheard and has the nation shaking in its boots. Under BK we were a laughing stock.

Fun, isn't it. I really did not like saben like most of you. Hated when he could just come in our state and cherry pick who he wanted. But that thinking has changed a lot since he recommended lane to come here. Now we are the one that's getting who ever we want.

In the past, like other schools, are getting fed rainbows and unicorns from who ever hyped their team up preseason. I really bought in last year thinking we were back because of who we got in the portal. This just seems so different knowing the coaches we have now and this incredible portal and highschool recruits coming in. Enjoy the ride.
That's a big running back. The type that saben used to get.
Right now I don't have any interest in mbb. That's only because until we get a coach that doesn't look like a cardboard cutout, I won't watch. I used to be really into our basketball team, but I won't watch until they get it figured out

I think this being lanes first year, he will get a grace period. I wouldn't be surprised if we Don't make the playoffs. But wouldn't be surprised if we did. Iam just looking forward to scoring more than 24 points in a game. And very impressed on how hard he is working for recruits.
When he thought me how to water ski, thought it would be funny to make a hard left and shoot me into a island. Don't know if that qualifies, but him working his arse off to provide for his family qualifies in my eyes. RIP dad.
