Funny thing is Urban is one of the few coaches good enough to compete with Saban. But he is too much of a pussy to deal with the stress

And also Meyer finds the time in season to get grinded on by women in bars. Saban's a bit more dedicated.

Nice hope he stays at least another 7 years there. He certainly looks to have some winning years left

It’s one thing to want to coach forever, but it’s a little sad that he seems to think there’s nothing else in this world he could enjoy other than coaching.

“I plan to coach for many more years but have always thought hiking the Appalachian Trail would be cool if I had time for it.” Some shite like that would at least show diversity of thought.

I don’t know that there’s a high paying profession out there as isolated from the rest of the world as big-time coaches. They work too many hours to develop other interests and very little that goes on in the world affects their work - so they don’t pay attention to anything. They spend 99% of their time at a facility or a stadium and whether Russia invades, the stock market crashes, or gas prices double doesn’t affect whether their players can execute that new coverage on Saturday.

Even though there are a lot of eyes on them it’s a pretty narrow, isolated existence.

They would all suck on Jeopardy.

Since you don't live an isolated existence I am sure you notice how many coaches stay in the business life long. Head coaches that are let go, making millions per year not to coach, will take assistant coaching jobs just to stay in the game. Why do they do that? Probably because they love it so much they nearly have to. To each his own opinion, but I think it would be awesome if every man loved his job that much, plus make tons of money doing it.

The Dawgs are going to dominate him and Bama in the coming years. Saban is past his prime. His best by date has come and gone.

Saban certainly hasn't retired from complaining and making excuses about losing to Stetson Bennett in the NC title game.

Saban's dynasty has been "over" nearly every season since 2014.

Despite being past his prime, he's somehow managed to scrape together three more national championships in that time.

He’s always going to say this and it has no bearing on when he’s actually going to retire. If he said, “I’m going to retire in a couple of years” then the entire SEC would be negative recruiting against alabama.

The announcement will come suddenly after the season of whichever he chooses. There won’t be any warnings.

Kind of like Tom Brady.

We will know when Saban is ready to retire.

Anyone worth his salt will welcome the competition and I suspect Mr. Kelly is worth his salt.

I fixed it for you. To this day that was maybe the biggest victory LSU has ever had. Oh wow, the tigers really put on Alabama that day.. destroying their manhood…what a great showing by LSU.

It proved to the entire nation why LSU is the top program in CFB. That win will live forever in the annals of LSU football. Oh wow, golly gee, hip hip hooray, Geaux tigers STTDB.

Thanks. It only took me 5+ years of hearing the same thing every off season to come up with it. *salute*
