I would let Eason go to my biggest rival in the hope that they would let him start.

Stafford showed his potential in year 3 and started to put up the numbers we all expected of him until he struggled year one and year two. Jacob Eason is probably as game ready as they come and I don't want anything to do with playing him. He's going to go somewhere and put up numbers. Just watch

We have let enough QB's go to our SEC brethren over the year. How about stop sucking on the recruiting trail and hoping someone will give you a QB. JUst because UGA and Bama can actually get multiple studs on the roster doesn't mean we should share with you poors.

USC
They wouldn't pull him for throwing INTs. Look at Darnald.

Truth, and they got athletes that would allow him to put up gaudy numbers. Washington or USC would fit well.

I really don’t think he should transfer unless it’s to a small or really crappy school. He will sit a year and will face competition at any major school after doing so. He will get every chance to compete for the job at UGA and here he is more or less guaranteed the 2 spot next year. One snap away. He’s a year and maybe further on a depth chart away from playing if he transfers.

I think Eason's gone. Fromm won the job and I don't see him giving it back. I'm not an Eason fan, made no secret of that, but I'm sure he's a competitor and he wants to go somewhere he has a better chance of winning the job.

If I was Eason, I'd look for a league that doesn't put as much pressure on the quarterback. He needs to gain confidence and ability to see the field, preferably with a little more time to throw and less need to scramble. That might be his best chance for a good draft position.

But he didn't have a problem taking a player from another SEC team last year. fricking hypocrite.

He could somehow enter the draft this season and someone would draft him. Yall seem to forget the NFL cares almost more about potential than they do about stats. Hell whatshisname at USC never even started a damn game and got drafted and did admirable in the NFL, name escapes me at the moment.

Eason is 6'5", started as a TFr in the SEC, and has one of the strongest arms in America. Those facts alone would get him drafted.

That was my thought initially, too. But when you look at some of the QBs that are playing right now, I have to stop and reconsider. I mean, some are absolutely horrible. I'm not sure it is unreasonable that somebody with extra picks might take a 7th rnd flyer on him. I think Cleveland, for instance has a lot of extra picks. Take him and let him develop on the bench slowly.
To go get drafted as high as was initially thought, though? no. Not as it stands.

He likely will eventually but in case you're wondering, Kirby is likely to block all transfers to any SEC program. So he's likely going back west.

He could rob a liquor store and get into Auburn's "rehab program".

The draft gives the team the opportunity to control his rights.

A low round draft pick is low risk. The upside is that he becomes a starter. Or develops into a good enough prospect to trade out and get a good (1st/2nd) draft pick in return.

People forget that a player can develop outside the parameters of college football and get paid while doing it.

Exactly this. I mean, look at some of the QB's playing right now.

Hundley, Peterman,Siemian,Savage,Brissett,Garropolo, etc

To think somebody would not take Eason on a flyer is silly. As you said, the upside is very, very high.
