Makes my point even stronger. We were far more desperate to be there back then. Giving tickets away.
Makes my point dipshit. Hadn't won shite since 1980 and still couldn't scrap together enough money to drive to New Orleans. Peanut/dirt farmer poor fan base.
Sad.

Georgia made the transition in the 00's, so it's still a work in progress.
It was actually in the 90's.
The HOPE scholarship in GA started in the early 90's. That was what transformed UGA into a top academic school. It raised all of the GA state schools up to higher academic standing, but UGA probably got the most benefit of it.
Those of us who were in those 90's UGA classes are now nearing or in their 50's. Our kids are at UGA or even already graduated from UGA.

$170 for nosebleeds is “very good” price?

I read this and asked myself..."why would UGA fans be terrified of North Dakota?"
It's a very cold state. Very scary.

I love what uga winning so much has done to some of you. This is almost as bad as vol alter trash talk.
Anyways, The super dome was packed with uga fans. The other team forgot to show up.

Yea the first generation of being a good school with a strong alumni base. Exactly as I said.
It's not solidified and you still have a work in progress. Lots of your UGA alumni who work in call centers and think the P.F. Changs at Lennox mall is fine dining aren't shelling out bucks to make the trip because their rent went up the past year.

There are thousands of Sugar Bowl tickets for sale at very good prices. Are UGA fans dirt poor or do they think they will get beat?
Pathetic.
Why make up lies, is your life that sad?
As an annual ticket holder, I can tell you that Sugar Bowl ticket prices are way up this year and are much higher than two seasons ago when Alabama played in it.
Sugar Bowl tickets for Alabama game drop in price
Looking forward to a great matchup between Georgia and Notre Dame, two of the strongest fan bases in the country.

and never beat them by more than a TD
ND has beaten LSU 4 of the last 6 meetings. And is 7-5 overall against LSU? At least we beat them.

"b-b-but you didn't beat them by more than 1 TD!"

So, let me get this straight. YOUR team has a losing record to the team that has never beaten our team, but you are going to criticize our team for not beating them by more than a TD?
You can't make this up.

Should have saved plenty last year.
Michigan beat you last season and they are looking for an encore his year in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
I'll be at home watching the ReliaQuest Bowl if i can figure when it is being played and on which channel. Can you help a brotha out?

I don't think they are terrified. Georgia will play ND hard regardless of the outcome

This isn’t a Georgia thing
CFP tickets are wayyyy overpriced relative to the market

I don’t blame them, this whole playoff is a joke. I live in Nola and still won’t go, idc if the tickets are free this year.

Conclusion: UGA is dirt farmer poor with a fan base who can't afford to drive 5-6 hours to New Orleans.
Seeing the population drop off in Louisiana and the NOLA metro area, the locals agree.

Notre Dame just lost one of their best players and captains for the year -
Defensive Lineman Rylie Mills. That's a tremendous loss for an already depleted team.
