Saturday is his biggest and toughest game of the year. Wait until you crown him.

Helluva lot better than Dildo regardless.

Most Bama fans were screaming for Simpson to get a shot last year. Especially by the Oklahoma game after TWO pick 6s. Milroe single handedly lost the UT, OU, and Michigan games last year. Never will know the reason but something sketchy going on behind the scenes. Grubb left because he knew Milroe was trash and DeBoer had to coach with a hand tied behind his back in year 1.

I think most reasonable fans realize Milroe was not a legit QB. Sure he could make some big plays and was a tremendous athlete, but he had ZERO pocket presence and could not read the field or complete pass over the middle.

Opposing fans were hoping Simpson was worse but deep down knew he could not be as bad as Milroe was.

Where did all the ranters who predicted that Ty Simpson would be hot garbage disappear to? You couldn’t swing a dead cat in August without hitting one. Now they can’t be found. Was there a mass die off? Are they hiding in Willie’s basement? Come out and show yourselves so we can perform a wellness check.

I remember when the sidewalk fan said Simpson must suck since he didn’t start last season, though the qb that did start dominated his team.

My wife said Ty Simpson looked like a different person sitting on the sidelines...a grown man...but looked like a scared kid with his helmet on while on the field

In my defense...that was true. He looked scared because he was running for his life in the first game. OL has played better since.

I've been impressed with his mobility in the pocket (not necessarily running the ball) and he's got good arm talent...nice zip on the ball when needed.

Mojo kept his receipt. Willie isn’t the only tiger who was awfully mouthy who has gone radio silent

Let's check in on him after he faces a front 7 that is significantly better than his last 2 opponents ...

And let me tell you how this will play out depending on the outcome, because this how rival fans frame things like this.

1. If Ty balls out-"They weren't that good anyway. They were overrated".

2. If he struggles- "Told yall he sucked!"

See how that works?

Not sure, but here is a post where Volsquatch said he thinks Bama would have won it all the last 2 years if Simpson had been their QB.

It's still a fair question.

If Milroe was the whole problem, why couldn't Simpson see the field?

Also, me in July:

Milroe was decent, just inconsistent.

I don't think anyone has seen enough of Simpson to truly have an opinion on how good he is.

I thought it should be Mack. Simpson's play has surprised me.

If you find out why please let us Bama fans know. Reports coming out of scrimmages were Simpson was out performing him. Those reports were consistent throughout fall. Then, when Milroe totally started $hitting his pants during the second half of the season and Milroe wasnt even benched for ONE series, something didn't add up. Still doesn't

Especially since Mizzou has the 16th best QB in the SEC.
