Can we stop beating around the bush and ask the real question here? We just beat Kentucky (lolz Cat fans) and showed some serious swag in the process. I'm just back from the game and Coleman was rocking. So with this win, and wins at State and USCe (who won at Florida), coupled with our new found swag, are we the new flagship of SEC basketball?

P.S. Lolz again at all the UK fans I saw who looked on the verge of suicide after going all that way for one bball game.

We might win 20 games, but Grant has a long way to go with this program.

We should have beaten Arky, but we let it slip away. From now on, we have to win the games we are supposed to. Don't follow up this nice win (although I am sure most true KY fans will admit this isn't their best team) with a choke at Auburn.

There are many Bama fans that would be glad to follow the b-ball team closer, but we have found, over the years, way too many ways to choke games we should win.

Then you'll hear, "That's why I don't follow basketball.", etc.

I'm optimistic about the basketball program for the first time since I was in college.

Grant is proving to be a very solid hire.

There's not reason Alabama can't win the next three before going to Tennesse and Vanderbilt.

There was some sarcasm intended that I guess wasn't obvious enough. Sure we have a ways to go, but what a huge win tonight. Hate seeing such a huge lead blown, but this team finally pulling out a tight game and learning how to win may have been worth blowing the lead.

We just need more skilled basketball players, not just athletes. We have a very good recruiting class coming in next year and it would be a great one (by all but Kentucky standards) if we were able to add Lacey.

We're going in the right direction and I don't see any reason why we couldn't win the West this year. The Tournament is still tough to imagine though, we really shite the bed at that Virgin Islands tournament.

This is like Saban's first season. We just can't finish due to lack of talent and MOSTLY depth.

honestly, we're not that far off. we are often out skilled, but NOBODY puts forth more effort than this team. Grants decision to suspend Green was the turning point of this season IMO.

Next season, when we add some shooters and a little depth, this team...with this style of play and lock-down defense will be very very dangerous.

A couple consistent shooters is what we lack. Hello Randolph, Cooper, and hopefully Lacey.

And levi needs discipline. He needs someone to put him in his place. He didnt play last night because he decided to wear his own blue shoes instead of the team shoes, even after coach told him twice he would not see the floor if he wore them. The kids has ego issues right now.

Do you have a family connection or something? Just wondering, since you seem so sure about it.

We can start by not blowing 20 point fricking leads.

Peoples' excitement levels are overshadowing the fact that we were a millisecond away from what would've been the most embarrassing loss in Alabama athletics since the ULM game in '07.

Most embarrassing loss since ulm is a bit extreme... Your point is valid though
